Thanks for this video!!! My x5 has been soaked every time it rains but luckily I didn’t have to remove the side panel and the air compressor worked like a charm !
All sunroof bimmers have this issue. The key is NOT to wait til u NEED to do this. Add it to ur preventative maintenance if u wanna sleep easier. My 318ti flooded like a mofo. So I know all about this lol. Good video bro.
don't use the blow gun at the sunroof holes unless you wanna end up having to remove the headliner. you WILL blow the hose straight off the fitting as it it is only a friction fit (and a fairly loose one too). instead use a long roll of that green weed Wacker cable as a drain snake. if the hose does pop off it will saturate the headliner with water AND your floor so best to avoid that.
Rear drains end within the rear bumper unfortunately. You should dismantle the rear section of the headliner anda take out the hoses. Then clean them with air or pressurized water.
Probably not. Your doors water vapor barrier (inside the door) has probably gone bad. There are videos that show you how to fix that. As a precaution you can drill small holes from under car to drain the water- being careful not to damage anything.
