Hi, I like your chanel, very useful and one question please. Every time I open my BMWs door it automatically turns off the “engine”. Is that customizable, are we able to change this setting?
@@BMWofFW What's the difference with them both? The Mini has just been launched so no idea which one it is. Also, the £4,800 upgrade for is pushes me into the higher tax bracket so will cost me £400 extra a year for 5 years.

depends on the car... so you DO have a digital assisted driving view as well as a 4k front camera AR overlay view of the driver assistance system (when equiped on the new X1/X2/X5/X6/X7 and the 5 and 7 series cars.
@@olliveromusic6178 So you’ll have ACC and Lane Keep but not eye activated lane change or automatic lane change. You will have visibility options the same as Driver Assistant Pro, just with less overall functionality.
@@BMWofFW I m talking about all the view, I just see the map in my display. I check my displays options and I do not have that view. But the assistant plus works. Do I need to set up a code?
You can’t retrofit pro or plus in your car unfortunately… your car only has Driver Assistance package ($100) or Driver Assistance Pro Package ($1700) Plus isn’t even an option… it’s basically an all or nothing option for your car
So, if you have a vehicle that comes without any drive assistant stock but you have the option to purchase the drive assistant plus (on an X1) digitally, do you have the lane keep assist or is that exclusive to drive assistant professional ? What I mean is does the car auto steer the wheel to keep it in the lane or that's exclusive to the professional? thank you
So the Driver Assist Plus in the X1 is JUST Adaptive cruise and Lane Keeping Assist… it’s missing sensors to do some other passive safety upgrade of driver assist pro, and lacks the lane change assist and hands off traffic jam assist. But otherwise retains about 75% of the drivability in Pro.

So am I correct to assume that the driver assist plus on the X1 is able to keep the car in the middle of the lane including curves if touching the steering wheel every few seconds ? My dealer said that it doesn't and it would just bounce the car in the lane if it goes off but not keep it in the lane so I am so confused... I want to know if it's worth paying 900 euro for the option because if it's only to have the adaptive cruise it's a bit weak... my car comes with iDrive 9 so I'm wondering about the video where you show you can take your hands of the steering wheel when you see "assist plus" green indicator on the screen if it's possible on the X1. I re-read myself and I'm not very clear, sorry for that, here is my question: an X1 2024 with drive assist plus does it have the 2 LED strips on the steering wheel that go green orange or red to keep the car self driving on a road at an automatic distance say on a highway? I understand it won't fully stop and start again in a traffic jam but I am wondering if it at least helps on a highway? Thanks!
I just got a 2024 X1 and was confused between Driving assistant plus(DA+) and pro(DAP) I opted for pro, but somewhat got unlucky and the dealership told it got kicked out automatically and went to original DA plus, so i dont have pro now. What plus does? It keeps the lane after 60kmph and distance control and obviously adaptive cruise with stop n go. The steering indicators turns orange when you take off your hands in cruise control mode, but it keep you in lane or feels like auto drive till you have your fingers touching the steering wheel. What it doesn’t? No automatic lane change No lane keep below 60 kmph No handsfree Pro has traffic jam assist and highway assist so pretty much you can take your hands off once driving assistant plus mode is ready, this is a mode you get with pro(dont confuse it with DA+ option) I would loved DAP but got some additional discount bcz of the wrong built You will still see green lights on your steering during auto park 😅

I live in Europe so handsfree is not permitted anyway -- as long as I can get the vehicule to autosteer and keep distance with car in front on roads between 60 and 120 kmph I'll be very happy! I believe it's the same function where you have to touch the steering wheel every 5 seconds or so. I'm not really interested into automatic lane change. What I wanted to make sure is that the lane assistant that keeps your car in the lane is of the same quality of the pro, and doesn't just bounce your car between left and right to avoid the road lines lol.
