the 318is has dohc and injection while the 318i just had ohc and carborator, the is models had a special lip and m-tech2 standard wich includes m-tech steering wheel, bumper and so on

@@shbzt4762 i live in us, my 1991 318i has the m42 engine. more differences are my car has 4 doors and weighs 53 pounds more. facts are fun.

@@vwkaufman i live in Germany our 318i had the M10 or M40 and was offered as 4 door sedan, 2 door sedan or touring. The 318is was only offered with the M42 and as a 2 door sedan

This is IS that means it’s sport version of the 1,8 stock 1,8 has 85 kw IS got 103kw
