Supposedly, the engine has a VIN on it... or some kind of casting number. That might be worth looking at to see if the engine is original to the car. The US spec cars got more VIN locations than others. One cool thing to look for is to see if you can find the build sheet, which should be under the rear seat cushion.
Did this on mine also just to see how my current stock (280k) one is while im building a stroker. 1 and 6 were my lowest being like 120 and 110 rest were 140+ 3 was even 180 so shes had it. Also smokes and burns oil pretty bad
@@zackellis23 Mine had a new head put on in 2012 so I think the valve stem seals are failing on that that's the main thing I believe. Piston rings don't help
Thanks man! I actually did solve it! I just ran out of time for editing so I will make a new video of it. It was the AFM (air flow meter) found a used one for $50 rather than $1000 for new lol
@zackellis23 Nice man, glad it was decently cheap!! I got a old suzuki sidekick I use for a daily and winter ride and the junkyards are always a score for me!!
