Had a sport Evo when I was 19 in brill rot red as it said under the bonnet, black leather on a J reg, AC is was absolutely amazing to drive especially on the back B roads. Had to have the engine rebuilt as No fuel injector blocked up flat out on the A46…. New gear box & diff where added as where bilstein & Eibach suspension, roll bars, poly bushes & one ff AP racing front & rear brakes which gave me 2 clearance from the back of the caliper on the front to the back of the 8x16 genuine Alpina rims off the B6 3.5. Wish I had is now, be worth £150k easy. Sold it with 38k on the clock.🙄
The E30 M3 has the homologation body, etc, it's not a touring car and has a four-cylinder engine with 192 to 235bph. The Touring car had 296 to 374bhp. In the 1980’s, you never saw one; they were left-hand drive, and only dealers and people with deep pockets imported them. Hence, they were not popular. If you wanted to set your hair on fire then you drove a Cosworth, which was the absolute icon and was fast out of the box. Since the noughties, there’s been a nostalgic fantasy going on. Before you make a comment drive it and see what you think. Having said this, the E30 M3 is a beautiful car and its good to see it’s a claissic. I have driven and owned M3’s E30, E36, E46, E90, F80 G80.
