I'm going a tuned ms43 with my m54b30(currently stock internals but ecu reflashed for more power and midrange) Will be running m52 shorty headers, lw flywheel with m5 240mm clutch Will be running a zf320z box but have a 3.46 ratio to first go in it with a chassis mounted quick shifter.. Will look at a 3.15lsd once cars up and running with new motor in it (currently a euro 318i 1990 model) Should def be fun once its dropped into the e30

@@ahapainenpaavo6010 he does, you don't. The s54 has a peak power of 343hp but the powerband is narrower. An m54 has only peak 231hp but has a high output at a wider powerband. My Stock 330ci 231hp is faster than a golf6 gti with 280hp that is lighter and has a dct. Hp is just an indication. Also an m54 (aluminium) is lighter than an s54 (cast iron block)
Hi, very nice result! I'm building the same engine in my e30. Any advise for the headers? Original headers with cats available but I'm thinking ebay-headers. M54 or M52 headers? Thanks!
@@stayer85 Hi, what did you do with the o2 sensors? I bought a M54 custom spaghetti because of the 4 o2 sensors but it won't fit at all. We can get M52 manifold of course but where did you put the sensors? Or did you delete them in the motormanagement? Thanks!
Is it stock engine? Because m50b30 high compression strokers does same time 0-200 having 20-30kw more . Anyway nice, Im doing m52b30 stroker in my e36 compact in the end of this month :)

stayer85 ok thanks. one more question is 70 degree rating thermostat good for this engine or should I keep standard thermostat since its naturally hot running engine? only have AC fan working at about 95 degree
BILL SM3 If your car will be used for drifting use 70° thermostat and massive airflow .For normal driving stock 97° thermostat and front fan should be ok

@@rattleheadcs6758 I feel like this tach is not very accurate. There is a Video out there with a M3 E36 3.2 doing 0-240 in 38 seconds. This is about 8-ish seconds faster than that and I don't think that's possible. This has 231hp at 1200kg so it has 0.19hp/kg. The E36 should weigh around 1400 and has 321hp, so it's got 0.23hp/kg. The E36 should be faster and even if it's a fully loaded E36 with all the options ticked and a full tank that is heavier than 1400, they should at least be similar.
Its possible , i did have similar results with g260 and 3;46 diff.The problem is picking up power after slowing down in high gear with such combos.A turbo would overcome this but expect that lag before the power kicks in.
