BMW E34 V12 TURBO 1378HP / 1566NM (1155 lbs) crazy build from Norway at Hamar Burnout Show 2015. Music: BluePalmMusic - Let's get extreme Music is all licenced in my name for use in RU-vid monetization.
@@Real_Claudy_Focan Not nearly, that was what most of them did produce. Only with superchargers instead of turbos. But plane engines are requiered to produce this power at 2500-3000 rpm and stay reliable as they do.
Алексей Губанов пхах, после этого дрифта он на сто поехал, если с завода выйдет такой, то он и 50тыс км не потянет с такой мощности, как мы знаем бмв никогда не славилась со своей надежностю:)
He holds it in the start. It's fitted with auto drag racing tranny and is hard to modulate the throttle. He tries to make sure it doesn't brake the driveline. This engine is now in a 850 CSI racecar with a Samsonas gearbox and is shifting hard with 1500NM !!
+3Bisgaards you can hear the blow off walve not able to let out all the bost and you get a surge,,that turbo wont last for long or in a bad luck,,the engine..but yes what a beast,,would love to se it using a old gtr drive train 4+4
+Shift4g he had e60 550i wheels in the front, which are nice. Looks like he didnt want to burn good rubber on the rears so he threw some e46 wheels on.
+Shift4g I cant stand wheels of the wrong era on cars, especially BMW's. The E34 had plenty of wheel choices, in my opinion a set of throwing stars would have looked good.
+ragtop63 The car is built for something called Gatebil, which is not racing, just dicking around having fun. Like entire events dedicated to just doing donuts and burnouts sideways, with 1200hp. Not really about going fast.
Смотря для чего этот авто строился. У меня е38 на 4.4 компрессор, первые 2 передачи на асфальте буксуют. Но я езжу с контролем тяги, на штатных шинах, а мотор такой строил, чтобы запас всегда под педалью был.
reduce power in first gear by 50% give it 900 horses in 2th gear and 3th gear full power wider tires, slicks and boom or get awd launch control and enjoy doing quarter miles in under 8 seconds but thats not what the car is meant for
I cannot for the life of me wonder why the fuck someone would spend all this money and time, making a great engine and using it as a joyride fuckabout car. Why not design a time attack E34, at least that way the power would be getting used rather than....erm.....not used.....
+Bujf vjg The car is used on trackdays and dragracing. It's not timeattack. Time attack would be better with a lighter car, like the E30. This car is part of the Gatebil culture where most just build the sickest cars in the world just to have fun, it's not about having the fastest, just having top notch fun. This guy has had an army of sick cars. E30 with a V12 5.6L and Nitrous, E34 Twinturbo and now a singel setup and forged internals. He is currently making a DOHC V12 BMW with V12 block (SOHC)and two M50B25 heads (one of them turned around and welded to fit the register. Never mind his 1934 Hotrod with V12 and a massive blower on top. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-celJFMkxzmQ.html
oddisPProductions Yeah, I get it, though I still find it a huge waste of HP lol, since you can do doughnuts perfectly fine with under 300HP. And, yeah changing the S70 from a SOHC to a DOHC is about the only way to come close to the S70/2 in the McLaren F1, and with an engine like that....who would be idiotic enough just to using it to do burnouts and doughnuts...?
The question is: Why would he decline to do some burnouts at his local annual burnout show. "you can do doughnuts perfectly fine with under 300HP" : No, you can't .... A 300hp burnout is booooring ;) And you can't do 5 gear powerslides in straight line at 150km/t on the track either with those 300hp.
oddisPProductions 300HP is boring? Do you know the laws of physics well? Once you have the tyres spinning you have an almost total loss of traction, thus meaning if you're staying in the same gear, it doesn't matter whether you have 1200hp or 300hp, the wheels would still be spinning at the same speed. And if you really liked having NO traction at all (as that's what a 1200HP RWD saloon is...) then be greener and just use 195mm tyres. If a 1400HP+ 1986 F1 car with it's engine directly over the back axle, and having MASSIVE slicks - can spin its wheels at 160MPH in 4th gear then I cannot fathom how impossible it would be to drive a saloon car with almost less than zero momentum traction...rather than slam one's foot down and play 'Fisherprice car' with the steering wheel, most people would prefer the power to be completely usable in most scenarios. This car would be like a Civic Type R in the rain at a standstill and flooring it.....it gets beaten by a dam Fiat Panda. I get the fun factor though, but having the actual ability to use 1200HP rather than it being wasted, would be SO much more enjoyable, because having that car with that power and spinning it's wheels like it does, you'd be as well as having clutch-slip and putting a smoke machine under your car. ...But hey, I respect your opinion!
The core of the conversation is this: "most people would prefer the power to be completely usable in most scenarios."- We don't, that's the difference. Having much power is like having a lots of options. It works for every scenario, a perfect compromise. With proper boost management through the rev range you can make the car as (un)drivable as you want. Switching from low octane to racefuel and doing some maps on E85 gives lots of variety. Regarding the burnout: when you only have 300hp on tap you will have limited power delivery. Giving a burst of 400-500hp from 3000 to 4000rpm is what's making these monster cars so fun to abuse. And spectacular to watch. That is the essense of the entire build. Hence the Gatebil culture. Most critize it until they attend an event and get their compass blown to peices.
Yes. But he is also holding it on the auto tranny to slowly build boost. It's a drag racing auto tranny in it, hence it's hard to modulate the power output.
+Dookie Duuk they aren't difficult to get slide I've got a e34 touring and sedan and you don't have to mash your foot to the carpet and use all 1300 hp have you ever watched formular drift they're all running 1000hp but manage to drive the car fine all I'm saying is this guy has all the gear and no idea
