If your airbag light is on, don't just replace your airbag right away, check out this video on what to look out for. It could be as simple as the connector. In this video, I go over the process of removing the e46 door side airbag and showing you how to check the connector. This process applies to many other e series BMW models like the e36, e46, e60, e90 and others. If you've replaced your airbag and the warning is still on, this may be of use to you as well!
Please take precautions before working on your airbag and do not attempt to do this if you're not comfortable. Please take your car to a certified mechanic otherwise. You're doing this at your own risk so please do be careful as airbags can be dangerous.
