Hi there, my angel eyes just stopped working when the light switch is the 1st position. But they come on when moved to the 2nd position with the low beams! Any ideas? Thanks
Likely you’ll need to turn them on as day time running lights using coding. Use Carly or similar BMW coding softwares with the appropriate dongle and you can activate the angel eyes as day time running lights. If they worked before, you may have hit the max fail counter for angel eyes (basically the frm thinks the lights are burning out). You can also reset this counter using protool and then your angel eyes should come back on.
@@6ixgarage thanks for this. I tried that on my Carly, but no luck . I didn’t get to check the drivers side bulb but the passenger one definitely works. The lights are only 1 year old and are Valeo units. The car is a 2008 pre LCI one but fitted with LCI lights front and rear. Bulbs in them are the original halogen type that came with the headlights. It also comes up with the dreaded fault codes of A8AC and A8AD. I have a launch diagnostic tester too which will allow the short cut reset I read about but it doesn’t say complete or anything once activated. My Carly doesn’t have this option
My Wife's E53 steering was hanging at about 90° left or right turn. Hosed down the steering column u-joint with silicone spray = All fixed up. Thanks for the insight!
I’ve taken that into consideration for future videos. It seems on my end the music volume is low and for some people it’s fine as well. However for others the music is louder than my voice.
I got an e36 328i 1996 about a month ago, the radio wasn’t working so I figured I’d swap the unit, but I wanna say Friday night or Saturday night I was driving for like 2 hours and it came on, I put in the code was messing with it , no audio and then eventually the buttons stopped working and then today I turned it on and the radio was playing but after a while the buttons stop working and I just figured to do what you did which is swap the head unit
I have to agree with him here. On my E46 resetting the Adaptation with the tool would often only serve as a temporary fix before it would return. Resetting the throttle using this method has given me better results over the last three years. Using the tool I would have to reset my car a minimum of once per month. Using this method I get about a year out out of it(ish). Not sure why. This is my experience with my BMW. Your mileage may vary… EDIT: Sometimes the Adaptation using the tool was so frequent I would simply drive with the tool plugged in all the time and would drape the cord over the steering wheel. …BMW lyfe.
Bout to do it… but one thing most people don’t clarify, do you push the pedal all the way to the floor including the button at the end, or just up to the extra button… might be a stupid question but always wondered what that even does!?🤔😬 lol
Could you please reply? There is a crack in the tower of my vehicle. I couldn't find any OEM parts. I found it from a specially made piece called garagistic. Do you think it will be useful? Which one should I use?
My throttle body harness sepewrqted tried this and no luck looks like I’ll be dealing with electrical repair it doesn’t pull codes up only pulls misfire codes
I’m uncertain on that because when I purchased the tool, it didn’t have the two options. I would reach out to them directly, they also have a Facebook group so you can ask questions.
So far so good, although on my bmw the warning light still comes up telling me they are faulty. I need to put an error canceller in place but otherwise no complaints. They are bright and I’ve had no issues!
1 Place key in ignition and turn to detent 1 and count for 10 seconds ( only position 1 do not start the engine. ) 2.Turn key back to 0 position and count for another 10 seconds 3.Now turn the key all the way to detent 3 to start the engine
E81 116i Driver Here. My Problem was that i reset the Adaptations bcs the car was running bad and every time i turned it on it would give me Check engine light and the idle would wiggle between 1.2-1.5 k. This helped a lot thanks.
I very much appreciate your video. One thing that I didn’t like though, is the music. You are talking about a complicated topic and the music is practically drowning you out and it’s super annoying because I know you are a very intelligent guy that I wouldn’t mind listening to.
Remove the music all together, or add some subtitles so we know what you are saying. You are talking about removing and replacing and lubricaring, but in don’t know what you wanted to remove or replace bale cause the music is just too much my friend. Just a suggestion. If we disconsider the internal ring that fits into the hole in the strut tower tower and the external ring that is underneath the OEM reinforcement, is the rest of the plate flat? I have the impression that the oem has a very big radius, while the Garagistic one is a flat plate, this gives me the impression that the original has a better fit, distributing the force over a larger area and consequently causing less stress on the tower . I didn't find a photo that shows a frontal view of the oem reinforcement, and I've never seen this part in person, so I can't confirm if this radius actually exists.
As far as I remember, the oem top mount also has a big radius, is not exactly a flat surface, so it makes sense if oem reinforcement also came with this radius.
Can that oem gasket fit with the Garagistic front plates? Also, some people may run into issues running coilovers with camber plates if using the reinforcement plates with a strut bar. The camber plates need long studs so you can sandwich all that hardware together and fit the top bolts for the camber plates.
Tha gasket fits with the garagistic plates. Camber plates and reinforcement bar will definitely be an issue with the garagistic reinforcement plates, oem ones may work.
Great video. About the hard line however, do you know the part number for the line that connects the soft line to the slave? I cant seem to find it anywhere.
