Hey buddy I’ve remapped mine with launch control but I couldn’t figure out how to activate it so did yours just have the limit set to 3k rpm every time or did you have to press something? Thanks in advance
Meant to be less shit going back into the engine, improved throttle response, improved economy, less carbon in the engine and oil. They’re common things to fail, they can’t fail if they’re not there. Truth be told though, the biggest improvement I noticed was the economy, especially on the VW 1.9 tdi I had before the BMW.
Hi pal, yeah it was a custom one from a place in Oswestry, the place is a franchisee of Longlife exhausts so if you’re nowhere near Oswestry then they have dealers all over the country and they all stock Longlife parts. I think that particular tip was around £80 from memory. Made from proper stainless too, cheaper eBay stuff I wouldn’t trust, that Longlife tip on the BMW is still perfect to this day, the car is owned by my friend these days so I see it all the time.
Hi pal! I think it was just the back box, I didn’t do the work it was done by a garage, but I have photos of the pipe that was on it because he gave it me back and it looks like it was just the back box, can’t see any resonator on there. Cheers 😁
The tuner said it would be about 205bhp but it wasn’t dyno proven, although he is a very high regarded tuner in the BMW scene, I’d say between 195-205bhp.
No, it’s just a “coo” sound that diesels often make when they’ve had an exhaust mod like a straight pipe or back box delete. Google it, it’s hugely common. I sold the car well over a year ago and the turbo is spot on to this day.
