Hello! Is it a straight trough double exhaust from the cat back? I have the same engine in a touring though. My setup's a catback straight trough pipes with an H pipe, but I'm not sure if the cat is full 😂 I strongly reccomend an H pipe, it changed the whole feel lf the car, it has noticable power gains in all of the rev range. Cheers!
Hi, thanks for your comment. It`s a single pipe from the cat back and also my first exhaust i did just for fun. Next time i mount a Hybrid Turbo i`d need a bigger diameter and i will think about it. Thanks again!
Hey, how does the sound FEEL irl? Because from most of the videos I saw with catback exhaust on 330d it did not feel like i made a really noticable difference in sound, but straight pipe made it sound like a gas engine type of car. The only concerns I have with straight pipe is police and once a year technical inspections though, so i really dont know what to do :/
Hi Pevas, due to the bore-to-stroke ratio of the diesel engine, the sound of a straight catback exhaust is not too loud. But, I'm really satisfied, because it sounds more voluminous. I haven't seen any reason to remove the catalytic converter, as the catalytic converter in the diesel engine only causes a small amount of exhaust gas backpressure.
