Five months ago we purchased a 330CI that was dead, sitting in a field. After replacing the entire cooling system, convertible top motor and resolving a parasitic battery drain, the last item was the passenger window. Someone had smashed it in the field and the regulator was inop. Regulator replacement was a piece of cake but many of the window mounting parts were in the glass pile inside the door. The last few minutes of you video gave me the exact information I needed (and was no where to be found in the manual for this car). I cannot thank you enough for this excellent video...wifey thanks you as well, it's now her daily driver.

The window attachment screws are reverse Torx (female) E7 sockets. The factory window regulator was revised in later production years to reinforce the white cable guide / tension piece there on the drive unit. So hopefully if you use a new factory regulator you will get a very long life out of it. That aft window clamp is held together with an O-ring to keep all the little pieces in place during reassembly. Very good video overall. Thank you !

I am a big believer in preventive maintenance. A eriodic squirt of dry lube in the window channel will lower the sliding resistance and stress on the window lifr drive train.
