Good luck with the project, i am currently half way through fitting an entire rear axle carrier panel to my E46 M3, the original was split badly so had no choice but to do a full replacement. Will be welding on CMP re-enforcement plates and bracing the subframe mounts to ensure a bomb-proof RACP for the future.

Greg So great shots and video even if you lost some stuff. I was surprised by the amount of cracks you had. But great job on the fix. I did this as a preventative on mine in the Summer of 2018 at least according to the mechanics I had inspect the sub mounts before hand it wasn't cracking. However I knew that wasn't true because I could see the tell tale sign that is shown to look for on one youtube vid. So once the carrier was removed the cracking could be seen clearer. Now it's all done up.

After doing my subframe this xmas, i am trying to muster up the courage to rebuild my motor. how much more difficult is it to rebuild the motor vs full real axle refresh/driveline/subframe? keep the videos coming please!
