Nothing like watching a 10min montage on how to swap in the M54. And then getting to work on it myself, taking several months because every step is a setback of some description. I can just see it coming. Either that, or we slap it together fast but then it just breaks down and goes right back into sitting in pieces. We bought a rotten 330i for very cheap, an entire donor car for whatever we want to scavenge. Just gonna find a decent E36 sedan to drop the engine into. Gonna start by having it on all original systems and intake manifold and even the cat-header thing, probably. Since all of it is currently working perfectly on the donor car. Very nice torque for an E36, will probably send us shopping for more durable drivetrain parts once things start buckling :D
When you keep using the word 'tin' or 'tinning' and soldering - youre using flux and solder yes? Or are you simply subjecting the wire tips to your iron and the heat just melts them together?
would of been nice to see the bmw factory connection, they may be different for various bmw models, E38 use a 2 pin connector, kinda like the bmw horns vs aftermarket, hope they pass the 5 mile bump test, or they'll be hitting your radiator, also hope they're waterproof
pro tip, ms4X flasher is now available for free...so no need for gellato or whatever it was called since finding a proper version seemed sus af. ms4x flasher is right on the ms4x wiki page btw
Hi. BMW E39 530i. I did a post cat sensors delete, setting c_conf_cat to 1 and used tuner pro. I upgraded firmware from MS430037 to MS430069. Everything went fine but I don't have engine light when ignition is on. What I did wrong? Thanks
Fantastic video and very helpful. I've been at it for a few hours on my Australian 2004 bmw e46 330i m54b30 ms43 the tuning file wouldn't start my car. I put the original file back on and still no start all connections are secure and correct Edit- I fixed the issue I just managed to find a different file to start with my car and also no limpmode.
hey guys , im new to this and i cant find the ENGLISH XDF files anywhere , i have read the partial but i cant do anything with it , idk why but i think my tuner pro bugs out or smth :(
