Only going up in value now dude, great decision. I have driven my friends convertible e46 m3 and I must admit, I prefer my old Scooby. But probably not for motorways (big highways)

Same here, but I couldn't afford an M3 back in 2004, so I bought a 330ci 6-speed. (Btw CSL's weren't sold in the U.S just in case you didnt know, but theyre pretty easy to replicate.)

M3 Csl's are in a different league apart from the crappy smg box

+Izac Pascual Same here bro, I wanted to get the M3 back in 2003 and my wife stopped me. So I went and ordered a 03 Individual 330Ci. My baby just hit 80k and runs like it did the day it was delivered from Regensburg. I still to this day plan on getting a E46 m3.

+TheReIntegration Mines almost at 200k and the only repairs I've had to do are normal maintenance, for example clutch, starter, and all the usual fluids, spark plugs, belts, etc.

to get that kind of power from the s54 you need more aggressive cams full exhaust, csl intake and a tune . 360whp is pretty much the ceiling for stock internals/head so you really need the best of the best parts to get there. No ebay junk. supersprint and schrick but HP per $ is low.

Hampus Sepe that is awesome! But like you said, it’s limited to 360whp; there are 500whp + boosted s54 around here, one has 700 on stock internals; it would decimate any Na s54... but the drivability if that Nacar would be very nice

+Mike Arredondo nitto NT555ZR extreme performance tires are what I currently have on my m3 and they give an insane amount of grip both on & off the track .

kumhos are trash..don't cheap out on tires....just get Michelin pilot ss or potenzas...bridgestone has a huge variety of potenzas aswell

+Will Boehland it changed the acceleration and in turns can effect your power delivery (minor but noticeable) , the bucking is very common when people change out the gears .

+trackdaybro i had a 3.64 in my e36 m3 (from a 3.23 so it is about the same change, very short for the trans gearing) and I had nothing of that sort happen with it. Felt smooth from bottom to top of the revs.. Cornering was planted through acceleration too.. He was saying you cant floor it under 4k, just doesnt make sense.

+Will Boehland it's simple..... 3.73 gears don't hook up on a mustang lol compare that to a e46 with 4.10... It's a simple logic, and the car is tuned anyway so vanos won't do shit, it has a lot of power and i doubt he is running 305's in the back, plus the power to wieght has the car being extremely light in the back, with all the wieght up front......... A full wieght e46 with those performance mods would spin less.. Nothing to do with the tune, nothing to do with vanos... Power to wieght and tire size and 180% the gear ratio is why it spins so those guys are right.. And 3.64 is not 4.10 so don't compare, for example 3:55 on a mustang ain't the same as 3.73, 3.73 spins like crazy

Full bolt ons and csl intake with a tune should be more like 340 to the wheels, may just have been the numbers the particular dyno put out during the tune. Dynos dont all read equally.

+Colton Ratcliffe agreed. The top end did sound like it was reving pretty free, but "FBO" is not really a thing on these. I call BS on the HP figure.

The diff also helped a lot to his FBO, better diff means he can power down much better

It's not just gutted, the diff is modified with 4.10 gears that's why

+Casey Walker A lot of the more aggressive diff setups are known to cause whine. That plus the fact that he probably has stiffer bushings all over the subframe and considering that the rear is stripped out translates into way more cabin noise

+Juan Galvis i have full aftermarket suspension on my car(yes, thats all different bushings) and my car doesnt make one peep. and ive ridden in several geared cars and none of them sound near this loud bud

I'm not really the biggest fan of clears on e46, with the exception of a white car. The lsb looks great with ambers imo.
