Fixing the radio and amp on a 2002 BMW 330ci e46. Remember the coupe's amp should say e46/2 . While the sedan's amp should say e46/4 and vert's amp should say e46/c

Be careful in removing the trim, the plastic of the clips go brittle with age and split if you are not careful to Slowly remove the trim.

Yeah having an issue where the left speakers front and back are out. Right side works fine . Any thoughts on that ?

My radio works and plays through the speakers and sounds decent at lower volumes. Once I turn it up past a certain level the sound distorts really bad. I was thinking it could be the amp? I dont think the speakers are blown as they do not crackle, just lots of distortion past a certain volume.

same thing with my right speaker. I also get distortion on bumps and sometimes it cuts out. I replaced the tweeter and it got better but same thing happens still. :/

I have the same problem but in reverse it distorts and chipers at low volume but great at high volume and the bass is good

I drive E46 Sedan, mu amp was broken. I changed it, but my subwoofers doesn't work. On the amplifier writes E46 / 3, and I think the problem is from the amplifier because it is from touring

Hi i have the same problem with My e39 530d as well. I had a song on in the back while i was fiddling with an aftermarked amplifier signal cabel i had routed to My radio harness to make IT work, and suddenly while i was touching that connection, the whole sound system in the car stopped working so now theres No sound om any speakers. Ive checked glove box fuses, all good, radio fuse is all good, checked yesterday with a New org amplifier in the trunk and helped nothing that either. What to do next? Any suggestions? :/

Where did you purchase the amp? I have the same problem with my 2006 e46 330ci convertible, was thinking the amp and/or my bm54 tuner to be replaced, can get the tuner on ebay, whered you get the amp?

My E46 has sound but some speakers don’t work. Those that do strangely get will lower volume when coming to a stop. I assume there’s a short somewhere but don’t even know where to begin. Could it be a faulty amp? I’ve pulled the radio and all connections are solid...

Could this be the reason my door speakers are Intermittent on some speakers Speakers are fine and have 4oms when radio is playing over 70oms are coming from the wire but not to the speakers The wires on the speakers it self are fine Any help be appreciated

Pretty sure this is only applicable to car with Harman Kardon systems, without this system the speakers just run off of the business headunit

Bought an android double din for my 2003 325Ci convertible. Says "plug and play". Stock business radio, no HK, no navigation. The harness that comes with the unit doesn't fit the car's perfectly. The unit powers up, but no sound from the speakers. Have you run into this before?

You have to get the cable harness for it, it runs all the way back to the car

What happens if your stereo unit itself comes on and off intermittently? I know the amp works because the stereo slams when it does work but sometimes it will come on on its own? And sometimes it will shut off on its own.

@@CLS55-Fonz it just started working for like... Literally a week and then just cut off again period but I think that the girl I was riding with when she tried to turn the radio down. I was like no, don't touch that! She took her hand Away butstill touched the volume knob and then after that, because I was using the steering wheel controls and not touching the deck at all. And it was working fine now it's not, again. I was full volume on the business class stereo for this entire time it worked. That amp would be toast I'd think if i went full volume for even a day. Thinking of taking it out And checking all connections and replacing the 10 Amp fuse with another. Or get a 20$ Amazon bezel with plug in adapter and antenna adapter and my local junkyard has a shitload of CD players from wrecked cars for $25. They will let me return it believe it or not as long as I do the install in the parking lot. And at least I can return everything if need be... thoughts on this one? I mean if I'm looking at fifty bucks either way, it couldn't hurt. 🤔

Evan goyuk Hey do I have 2002 bmw 325i e46 and when I got the car it had no back speakers so a friend gave me his oil speakers that work but when I connect the 2 wires no sound play.......... can you please tell me what I am missing and where should I look first. Thanks!!!!

I had buzzing noise and it was drawing power , I unplugged the fuses from the radio and navigation and i fixed the power loss , it could be the amp?

I have that exact issue, did you buy a new amp to fix it? My battery kept going dead and I found out the speakers were still hissing when the car was off. I unplugged the fuses and it stopped

2002 330xi, the only audio that comes through is static. Volume increases and decreases the static but no audio. Any recommendations?

somebody help i can't get audio in my e46 2000 bmw I tried some stupid tricks from RU-vid channels that say Turn the Key to on, turn your signal on, turn headlights off, rub your belly and poke a hole in your neck and wait 20 seconds, shoot all the Smurfs that emerge from your dashboard and set a small spring trap for the pink rabbit that lives in the door panel. PLS HELP

Thanks for the video. I have a couple problems related to my audio and wondering if maybe you had any ideas how to fix them. 1. When I use an auxiliary input to listen to music through my phone, there is often a buzzing or popping sound when no music is playing or when I'm in between songs. It often gets worse when other things are powered on such as the heated seats. Also, if I'm charging a device while the aux is plugged in, sometimes the aux shuts off after some amount of time and is no longer detected by the radio. In other words, I can only shift between radio and cd, but no longer aux input until i stop using the cigarette plug. It's almost like there's not enough power to charge a device, have heated seats on, and use the aux input at once.The aux is eventually sacrificed. 2. My other problem is pretty weird. I get radio static only when I have it on AM and seemingly only when my car faces North or South. AM radio is clear facing East/West. Any ideas on that? Thanks.

Jermaine Watson. No one answered you but you asked twice. Bummer. Did you ever find a solution to the problem? I know sometimes these a small difference between a Harmon Kardon hook up in the 200 to 20031/2 cars but don't know what the deal is realy. Some say it's got to do with the radio not having an actual working Aux out even though the radio has the option. Weird stuff. Please let me know. Cheers

The radios have a serial number programmed into them. That only work with the car it was installed into anti-theft features. To fix this you must get the new radio programmed for your car. The stealer charges like 400 for it. Look around you may find someone that will do it for cheaper.

2004 e46 325i: cd player works, but radio does not. Steering controls work for changing tracks and volume. buttons on the head unit do not work except for the volume knob. CD shuttle in the boot stopped working as well. anybody have an idea on what the problem could be? and solutions? thanks in advance

I had an intermittent volume issue with the knob. Today I turned the radio off and now it won't come on. No Audio both radio and CD. Cd will take and eject CD. Clock is displayed but no channel or track display. Ugh where should I start!

Check the fuses in the glove box there is multiple ones for the radio, then check the amp located in the left side of the trunk see if it gets warm after leaving the radio on for a little.

@@13killa69 what fuses did you pull out? The green light for the Harmon Kardon speakers won't turn on. I don't think any water leaked into my trunk to break my subwoofer.
