Just out of curiosity. I myself have a 2003 BMW 330i E46 ZHP, I kept it NA for about 4 months, and am deciding if i want to go turbo or not, I want to honestly keep the NA for obvious reasons of reliability and ease of access to the rest of the car, but for the forged M54B30 this guy has, what exactly EVERYTHING has been done and how much was spent to forge it.. And by anychance if he had a shop do the Forge build who did it? Because I've been wanting to forge the whole engine for a while and never seen nor heard of kits or anything that could fully forge the motor, so I am right now just looking at suggestions and seeing how much I should need to put down to the car to get her fully forged and stock 3.0L.. I am trying to push past 350HP on an NA platform, I know it's possible but I can't exactly do it if I can't get a reference from anyone on forums, youtube or anywhere else. Any suggestions/answers to the questions asked?
@@canalquenopudemonetizar8515 sorry to say, i have a 2000 e46 with m52tub25 323ci convertible and its rear subframe cracked,,had to buy plates to reinforce but sadly the meck i found was a less meck then me soo i have noo clue on how it is today.... if it has cracked again or has let off all the weld points...
I've talked to the owner about this, and he wants the spec to be a secret for now. I will write down more specs about the cars in my videos in the future though =)
Dyno Channel okay. Personally, I wouldn't want to sell the setup if that's what they are afraid of. I just want a good engine for motorsports and I have an NA M54 for now. I guess I'll have to ask from people who care to share :)
Hello, i have right now m54B30 fully build with hx40 super and with 1 bar it has 404 hp and 496 Nm but with very safe tune, cause ive been driving this set up for first season wanted to check if everything works ok, this winter will change exhaust manifold and rebuild fuel lines and go to 1.5 bar, tuner told me 600hp with that should be easy for this engine :) and its with pumo gas offcourse, in my country there is no e85
Hello guys I want to congratulate you on the beautiful project. I also have a bmw 3.0 E46 and want to increase the power where I can buy the forged pistons rods and crankshafts for the M54b30 engine?
How much power can you make with this engine if you only change the head studs with apr ones, add a thicker gasket and eventually eagle forged rods? (Safe power)
With stock internals and pump gas around 500hp from the engine. Above that is a bit sketchy. You can use OEM head studs if you don't go above 1 bar of boost. 0,8-0,9 would be safe. By the way the stock headgasket is an MLS, so just buy a thicker OEM gasket. With forged internals the limit is around 800hp because of the aluminium block. Happy building!
