For all of those having problems after ccc replacement. Do the following: 1. Load NCSExpert. 2. Load Profile and select Expertmode 3. F1 (VIN/ZCS/FA) 4. F3 (ZCS/FA f .ECU) 5. Choose the right chassis 6. Select CAS/LMA 7. F6 (BACK) 8. F4 (Process ECU) 9. Select the Module you want to revert back to Factory 10. F2 (change job) ->Choose "SG_Codieren" 11. F3 (execute job) ->to start coding the ecu with factory settings according to the vehicle VO. The ecus codded will grab the available options from the V.O. no need to manual change anything. Repeat process for these ECUs: CHOST CAPPL CGATE CAUDI CTUNE
Howdy guys, is the listed process for those 5 ECUs going to fix my issue of having no audio? I recently succesfully reflowed my CCC unit. Now it works without rebooting itself but I have no audio ever since 😅 Thanks in advance 🙏 Greetings from Spain!

@@LMAutoRepairs Yeah I did I flash rs delete by itself, locked the dme, had the ftdi set at 115000 instead of 9600.. then I figured it out. Flash the RS and tune together, then go and recode half the modules... Don't wonder why no power to fuel pump , recode the ekpm and your car will work again lol. Thats what I just went .. pocket comment lol
Thank you! I had to replace my CCC, Logic 7 (option code on FA string $677) audio system dead afterwards, had to recode: - CGATE - CHOST - CAUDI - CTUNE - CAPPL Then you must reset CCC in order for programming to take effect, otherwise Logic 7 will not turn on. Hold both eject buttons on CD/DVD and Vol button in until screen goes blank. After the reboot, the audio system came on beautifully! This is the best way to recode your new CCC, trying to figure out German and the individual options is not a good way. BTW, I used basic NCSexpert with only the two profiles.

Hello! i have a question can i take any ccc unit and code it? it's like i bought a ccc unit from a pre lci car and mine is lci so now i get no sound haven't coded anything yet.
You need to change ecu (CHOST,CAPP,CTUNE,CAUDI,CGATE ) to match VO of vehicle, i then coded aux config to active thru bimmercode app on my phone. And it worked
To change VO Open NCS Expert - Load an Expertmode profile - Press F1 button - Select F3 and choose your car chassis from the list - Click OK and choose CAS from the list. (This is where NCS will read your VO from) - Press F6 - back - Press F4 - process ecu and Choose the ECU your would like to code with factory default options of your car - Press OK - Reset BMW ECU to factory setting - Press F2 change job - Choose "SG-CODIEREN" - Press OK - Press F3 "Execute Job" to start coding the ECU with factory setting according to your BMW vehicle order (VO) - ECU resetting is done. Change ECU to next module

@@LMAutoRepairs , Bluetooth on this car is the first generation and only works for cellphone calls , you think is doable to upgrade so I can stream music from ? Thanks in advance .
Thanks for the great video. I also changed my CCC unit and everything seems ok except two things: 1) The aux options does not work. So if I am in FM and select aux, the system automatically returns to fm within half a second without letting me stay at aux. and 2) The speed-dependent volume adjustment which increases volume when you increase speed and vice versa does not work. Do you think that coding would solve this two problems?
Great video, very informative. I have an issue with my 2006 E60. Here is the problem. 1. My keyfob does it lock or unlock the doors. I can disarm the car by putting the key in the door and if ignition. 2. In the iDrive, the bluetooth signal is not showing. I can check and uncheck the bluetooth in the communications menu but the bluetooth doesbt come on at all. 3. I checked the module in the boot, there is light on the fiber optics cable. When I unplug the bluetooth module and plug in the white connector, I can see a red light flash for a few times, but then it goes away. Any suggestions?
Very good straight forward video!. I have a question, will an E60 ccc unit fit an E90 ccc. Reason for my question is that they don’t share the same part number
Most likely it will work... You will need to change the front fascia etc... and program it correctly... But I never done it, so don't take my work for it... Thank you for watching and for your comment!
Yes it will fit a e90 and it will work once plugged. I can confirm this because my car is a 07 328xi ccc. My ccc died and I replaced it with one from a e60 as the cost for a e90 one was more than double… everything works except you will have to get the front trim panel to fit over the e60 one as it’s different trim cuts and sizes this is literally the only thing you should be worried about, is finding that trim piece to cover that ugly exposed ccc box or you don’t have to cover it with trim but it looks like crap. Edit if you want to match the VO numbers use a app like inpa to reprogram the coding but it’s pretty pointless to do unless your missing features that you had before but don’t have them now get it ? Cheers
Anyone know what is (create fast boot image on INPA? My logo stuck:( Update! Old CCC unit is dead no wonder doesnt boot up, I replaced with m6 used ccc unit n coded via inpa. Working good now.
Hey i need help with my E60 04. I bought a second hand CCC headunit from another E60, but I can only flick the Idrive weel up, down, left or right to go into a menu, but i can't turn it to choose witch option i want. Does it need coding? and if so, witch code?
i am just traying to fix my own car and since i cant find a good programer anywhere near me i need to do it myself anyway i am from croatia so it is not an option that i come by so you can look at my car
You can code it to the VO.... and it will be coded to the options fitted on the car... or factory settings... Thank you for watching and for your comment!
gosh! Imsvvavr you make it seem so easy. but I know I have to do some google sereches for the softwear which I guess is outthere. many thanks for fantastic videos and education I love it cheers colin
I replaced the broken CCC with a simple M-ASK. It works but I don't have some options. What do I do? Do I follow the same procedure? Or are there other preliminary operations?
You will struggle most likely to get all the options back... as some were possible only with the CCC... You can change the VO to match the MASK, and then code everything to the VO... 👍👍👍
I got a used CCC from another car everything works but the audio plus the new system has 6 CD changer and bluetooth which mine do not. Do I need to get the new system coded?
Hello, question for you...I installed CCC from different car into my 2006 530xi...when I try to go in the menu with the wheel, it jumps from the top option to the last option but not in between. Thanks for the awesome Video. I ran into an issue trying to code my CCC, I have a 2006 BMW 330Xi (E90). NCS expert do not have E90 chassis to choose so I found out from few other RU-vid videos that I should select E89. So I selected E89 and press Ok, another window pops up and asking me to Enter my VIN number, so I did. then it says "Faulty VIN". Why does it asking me for the VIN number ? I thought NCS Expert will retrieve that information from the car automatically? how do I proceed from here? Appreciate your help.
I figured it out, one of the configuration files for NCSEXPERT was missing. I downloaded it and copied it to bin folder. after that NCSEXPERT retrieved the car information and I was able to code it. Thank you so much for making this video. I was able to code my CCC successfully and now I have sound in my car. I was driving around for over a year without sound. Can't thank you enough for this tutorial. YOU ARE THE BEST !!!
Hi Sandy! Thank you so much for the nice comment! Really good and satisfying, to know that you manage to get it sorted, and that some how my video has contributed towards to that!
one thing that you skipped was after you was in ncs dummy did you edit the file there or did you just edit the .trc file in notepad and after that coded that file in ncs expert?
NCS dummy it is just a helper that translate some of the coding... You can edit just the .trc file and code... You don't need the dummy software... 👍👍👍👍
Not really... I mean, you can if both have the exact same SW version... otherwise can cause issues... Best thing is to just code the CCC to the VO... I have videos on that... 👍👍👍
@@LMAutoRepairs does the car already know what features it has and can it automatically code to the replacement ccc ? I plan to buy a used one off eBay.
BMW E60 2005, CCC unit had a long time troupble with rebooting, suddenly dead. Sent for repair, came back working with no sound. Bought cable and NCS expert. After reading out the data TOP_AMPL_TYPE: nicht_aktiv. Wrote back with FA info, it was correctly set to "logic_7". Still no sound. I could test sound from INPA from the Amplifier, that worked. Any ideas? One thing I was curious about in INPA, was: MOST CAN gateway ccc - status amplifier Mute: OK ??? Could this mean something like it is muted?
A possibly... However, if everything was working before, I mean the sound obviously, as I understand the unit was faulty otherwise, I would check with whoever done the repair.... in case is something in the unit itself... i would start by ask if the repair would affect the coding of the unit.... Thank you for watching!
You don't really... Unless you find it already packed... NCS is the software... you then need the correct SP-DATEN files for the car you are working on... Thank you for watching and for your comment!

Great Video, i have change my CCC (the old one has the reboot Bug :D ), but now it dont save the bass / trebble / Fader / Balance and other settings :( i go wild XD
GerlindeMeier Hi Software update is not the same as coding... but you already know that. Although you might need to code the ccc first and change his vin number, prior to update the software... it all depends on which approach you are go into use .
Do you have audio at all? If so, the following is probably all you have to do. You have to recode your new CCC unit to your car. There is a easy way to do this in NCS expert (much easier than the process in this video). Some background: Your car has a VO (Vechicle Order), also called FA which I think is the german translation. The VO is a string of text with information about what options your car have. For example, a car with Logic 7 has "$677" in the VO, a car with HiFi instead has "$676". Menus are missing because your new CCC is matched to a different VO. The fix is quite straight-forward: 1. Get BMW standard tools installed. This is the most difficult step, FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY. www.mediafire.***/folder/a7jvirbs559ib/Software ***=com 2. Get to know the software and make sure your connection to your car is good. You can do that by reading som fault codes, testing seat buckles etc. in EDIABAS. 3. Close EDIABAS and start NCS Expert. Load profile expertmode. 4. Press F1 (FG/ZCS/FA) 5. Press F3 (ZCS/FA f. ECU) 6. Select your chassis (E89=E9x) 7. Select CAS 8. Press F6 (back) 8b. Optional: Make a backup of your FSW_PSW.TRC in /WORK folder (Google it) 9. Press F4 (Process ECU) 10. Select the first module you need to code (CGATE), see explanation below 11. Press F3 (Execute job) 12. Redo step 4-9 13. Select the next module you need to code (CHOST) until all five are coded 14. Done! Your CCC is now matched to your VO (the options on your car) You still might have to change VIN etc., but this pretty much what he does the first 18 min of the video. EDIT: This process is shown @ 18:30 this video. You should do this for all modules in the CCC: CGATE, CHOST, CAUD, CTUNE, CAPPL, in that order. Then reboot the CCC (press on/off/mute-button, eject CD, eject DVD at the same time) and everything should work.
ress87 ress87 Hi Yes I did have sound... everything worked just fine. All you have explained in your comment is exactly what I did as of 18:30 on the video... Thank you for watching!

Hi I have the annoying airbag light code 93F9. I replaced the positive battery cable but still no luck. I have a vehicle inspection coming up soon and I won't pass with the dreaded airbag light 😩. I bought a used SGM/gateway security module and airbag module. If I install this on my car then do I have to flash / recode this module to my car for it to work? I'm kinda scared to juts plug it in because I'm it sure if it will through a ton of codes. Urgently need your help of flashing or recoding this model. Could you help me out?
LoL... It is funny because I have the same fault on my E65... I clear it, and it comes back some time later... I am planning to do my one somewhere this summer.... I believe you will need to code it, like VIN number etc... Flash is another story, I would say that if it came out from a car with the same amount of airbags and safety features, flash will not be required... I know you already bought a replacement, I am planning to attempt a repair on my module before move to replace it... You should have no problem in plug that one in, make sure the battery is disconnected first... Do you have the equipment to clear codes, and code the "new" module?
lmsvvavr thanks so much for replying. Yes, the second hand module is also from another E60 M5 so I will attempt to just install it and see how it goes . I have Inpa , NCS expert, WINKFP, and tool 32. I also have ISTA/D but for some reason it won't connect(NET-0015: HOST NOT FOUND)?😣 How about restoring the SGM gateway module to factory default settings to clear the code from its memory? if yes then will these instructions work? 1 Start WinKFP and select F3:- Update ZUSB 2 Select ECU type and the ECU will appear along with a list of part numbers. 3 Select ok and the main menu will re-appear 4 Select VIN and enter the cars VIN no. and select OK. 5 Select Done 6 Select Prog. ZB_update, you will be asked to confirm the update, Winkfp wil state the number of times the module can be re-programmed. 7 Sit back and wait. 👆🏽I found this online somewhere. Or just use the second hand unit? I don't know how to code the VIN to my car if I change the module. I also installed the LM2 light module for daytime running lights and I think the VIN needs to be matched to my car as well. Will the instructions above work?
Jermaine Hall I never performed a lot of work with kfp... When I mentioned repair, I meant hardware wise... I believe, or I hope that the problem on my one is going to be with some components inside the module... I might be wrong though... If I need to attempt to reflash it, I will be trying with ista-p or with the MaxiSys... If I was you, I would just save the original coding from your module with NCS, plug the second hand one and ensure that the common options under the coding do match the original one... BMW dash can easily change the VIN number...
Jermaine Hall You know when you read the module with NCS and the reading is saved on a trc file? Dash is another bmw interface... Google will help you finding it... Otherwise kfp is your option to change the vin...
Great video mate. You really clear a lot of coding steps and questions. I have a question for you. Babar MUGHAL Can't really say much... CCC or CIC should work with the same controller... Not sure about NBT... If yours is not working, first of all ask the people who sold it to you... they might be able to help. If that is not an option, diagnose the car, to make sure the controller is working correctly... if is working, check coding...

There is places that specialize in repair those unis, and even offer warranty! You will be better of with someone like that than with me... Usually that problem is caused by poor contacts on the BGA chips... which a reflow can easily fix the problem... I have sold my reflow machine long time ago... and reflow such big chips the old way, (With the air gun), is not a very good practice... is kinda ok for small chips, but not for the ones on the CCC... Get in touch with this guy for example... www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bmw-Pro-CCC-E60-E63-E64-E90-E92-E81-E83-E89-E70-IDrive-Repair-Service/183286608144?hash=item2aacbbb110:g:KjQAAOSwxeBZr8j7 There is other places offering the same service, just google it... Hope that helps.

lmsvvavr yes it is the guy i bought the car from said he try to update it with a laptop and after that the radio never turn back on only thing that comes on is the bmw logo we try the 3 button reset and it turns off and back on but stays on bmw
Alex Robles I would say you need to try to update/reflash the module... and go from there... Probably the update the previous owner tried to perform, has somehow failed, leaving the CCC inoperative... I would advise dealer or someone with the correct equipment to try to update it again...
Alex Robles I don't even know where Philadelphia is.... Lol Just joking... I am in the UK... I would see how much the dealer wants to do a software update on the car...
hi mate i got vaxuhall zafira 1.8 over heating i replace very single part just ecu left with fuse box ,,, i put diagnostc code is u0009 i dont now can u hlep me abit thanks
Hi Overheating? The code you have is for: " CAN-Bus Node no Communication The control unit was informed by other control units, that the data it sends is not valid. Effect: The control unit doesn't take part on the bus communication" So, If the car is fitted with a cooling module, check that the code is not for that module... If it is, you might have found the problem, the only thing left will be to find the root cause... Otherwise head gasket?
KURDISTAN uk Your reply was bit confusing... Sorry... Anyway, I know this basic stuff, but, water pump? Thermostat? Air trap? Can you communicate with the cooling module, and actuate the fans?
KURDISTAN uk Well... in that case I don't think I can help mutch more... you will have to investigate and figure out what you are missing... as you can imagine I can't do a lot from here... Nevertheless fell free if you have any other questions...
Hello LM, I have a important question for you as you know very much stuff about these things. I switched my ccc unit because it was dead, from a e90 for another one from a e60. The problem I have is the AUX is greyed out on the head unit screen and I cannot select it. Could this be because of the vin number differences ? Do you reckon if I had them matched that the aux would become selectable again ? All I want to do is just play music from my iPhone to the car speakers man thank you and god bless you
@@LMAutoRepairs thank you so much for your reply brother I really appreciate the feed back. I will be matching the ccc with my carVIN within the next week or so. I will come back here and tell you wether or not it solved my issue it’s the least I can do as your videos have helped me a tremendous amount and also saved me thousands from the dealership aka ass benders. God bless you, you golden hearted human being !
Don't just match the vin, make sure you also code it to the vo... to "tell" the unit that it is fitted onto a E90... As internally it is programmed to an E60...
@@LMAutoRepairs ok I will try my best to accomplish this task. I’m very good at DIYs again I will come back and let you know if my issue has been fixed. Almost forgot do the HW versions matter or have any major differences my old ccc was 9.8 and this new ccc is HW 12.5 ? Once again cheers brother
kevin Humbert OK... you can try update the module... if you don't have the meanings to do that, or you don't want the hassle, visit the dealer... is about £100 to update the whole car to the latest available i-level.. Have you scanned the car to see if there is any codes in there?
