BMW E71 E70 No sound and no tones

A few days ago, my wife came to me with a question "why my audio doesn't work?" I went in to the vehicle to figure it out what was the problem. Car had no sound: like warning sound, audio and also bluetooth had a loading icon. I went back home to do my research. After spending half a day on all kinds of forums I came across the article that talked about battery drainage which caused by bad handles with comfort access. Its become clear to me that I have a handle problem and I even knew witch one. As soon i disconnected that handle problem was solved. Because that handle had a shortage it was making the # 132 fuse blow . I hope it will help some one else, also.

Had identical issue on my E70. Driver’s doors handle cooked, burned the paint below the handle and knocked out the same safety fuse as shown in the video. Key-less and all audio including bluetooth disappeared. The insurance company declined due to faulty or worn detail, as they said - the car is 8 years - BULLSHIT! Disconnected the handle, replaced the fuse = 0.06 EUR. The functions are back 100%, except the burned handle, of course. Sounds like Achilles heel for these cars. Thanks for the video!

This video saved me thousands. You just have to wonder what the germans were thinking in wiring the door handles to the radio...crack. no wonder the germans lost ww2...

LKNPWFOOTBALL yea for me i have comfort acess bmw f10 my rear door handle got wet inside it blown a fuse , all my lights went on No Powe steering, no dsc, no Abs ,No headlight etc etc

Thanks, man, saved me lot of time and money. I had exactly same problems with my e70, no audio, fyse F132 burned. One of door handles was short circuited and that's it.

I have the same issue. The driver door handle “touch” stopped working few months ago but i ignored it. I believe it has now a short wire or something causing 132 to pop instantly. So you replaced the door handle with a new one and all was good?

In my case bmw x6 e71 was the phone fuse( fuse 110), not the radio fuse. Tks for help!

THANK YOU SO MUCH! YOU HELPED ME ALOT! To further help it can be any of 4 door handles. Test one by one unplug and check if the fuse pop if yes put the door handle back and go to the next one till you find the one that dose not pop the fuse! AGIAN THANK YOU

@@ibrahimalili1928 Jednostavno, skini jednu po jednu kvaku od vrata i pogledaj osigurac "F132" koji se nalazi u gepeku i vidi da li ce da napravi short, uzim 4 nova osiguraca i porobaj jednu po jednu. Skini prvu kvaku,izvuci iz konektora i idi u gepek i zameni osigurac koji je izgoreo (F132 ), ako ponovo izgori vrati kvaku i nastavi dalje na drugu kvaku, sve dok nenadjes koja pravi problem. Kada najdes koja pravi problem osigurac nece da pregori , ako nemozes da nadjes novu kvaku jednostavno nemoj ja konkujes naza samo je vrati da mozes da otvaras vrata!

Great video! Do you know if you disconnect one door handle does that shut down the comfort access or does it indicate the problem handle? When i disconnected my rear left door handle the short to fuse 132 was no longer there.

SOS Module is inside the bluetooth module which is actually a Combox, that handles bluetooth, SOS, connected drive, phone craddle and USB connections inside the armrest. Basically you have a Combox Telematics which is the highest model. Anyway SOS is useless if you don't subscribe with BMW. You will need to provide them the IMEI of the SIM inside the Combox, it is written on the white sticker of Combox module. If you need more BMW information, feel free to contact me.

hi! I do have the same problem that BMW 2013 X6 speaker does not work. I can connect to the bluetooth and the navigation also works. But, there is no sound inside the car. No chime sound. Do you have any suggestion?

I have the exact same problem on my 2010 Alpina touring model. My private garage says they cannot replicate the problem as I have no audio only about half the time I start the vehicle. I will go through the fuses as it appears a many different system issues can result in no audio.

Just had a similar problem on my x6: dropped by accident half bottle of water on the passenger seat, and a few minutes later sound stopped and have a message about passenger restraint issue.could the water have caused a short circuit hense blowing up a fuse ?

Hi! I do have the same problem that BMW 2013 X6 speaker does not work. I can connect to the bluetooth and the navigation also works. But, there is no sound inside the car. No chime sound. I have replace the radio's fuses, but it still does not have any sound. Do you have any suggestion?

Edit this video bro ...it’s not a 5.0i it’s called a 50i ( fifty i) with a 4.4L twin turbo. Ppl are going to be confused thinking this is 5.0L..I have the X6 50i also.

Because the door handle was bad it was short circuit.

Hey guys only solution is to ADD bluetooth and an aftermarket amp any sound place can do it. add a switch to your dash for volume control. no audio on origial bmw loop but everything is visible than u use your phone as the source SAVE 1800 bucks this way and when u feel like it change the headunit BOOM fuck the stock fiberoptic loop bullshit
