They have different diffs ratio, while the gearing in gearbox is almost the same (but still a bit different) 125i manual has 3.23, 130i manual has 3.46

I had the same car. You cant reach full speed with the 6th gear with this car, only gear 5. The transmission gearing is very long. 6th is just for fuel saving

might not have enough power to actually pull trough 6th gear. 6th gear is often just a 120kph cruising speed ratio at low rpm for fuel economy.

Dont think hes putting his foot fully down mate lol, also 270 is peak power - N/A engines have a really narrow powerband, so most of the time it’s not even pulling above 230bhp.
