Thanks u helped me solve my problem
@1991june
I think I found my problem thats exactly what happened to me changing valve cover and i forgot to cover those battery bolts where the battery wires connect to then had my rachect extension to a bolt on the valve cover and other side touched those power bolts and made a spark next thing you know .i was getting a overheating message. I tried to do the coolant bleeding procedure for water pump and it wouldnt work.I checked all the fuses they all were good. I checked one of those on the battery distribution box and one of them didnt light up

This works. However, there are a couple of fuses under the module cover. So just testing the red line coming in may not be enough. Especially, if you’re having very specific power issues in the vehicle. So you should test all the inlets (female), by doing as is done here. But also placing the positive side of the tester into each female connection. Also, it’s best that you test with an actual DC voltage tester. You want to test for 12 volts. A weak volt due to a bad fuse can be the culprit.

Where do I find the part number on this part? It's located in the battery compartment on F30 335 (not directly mounted), but looks the same as yours. I googled the numbers on the label, but they weren't the actual BMW part number.

I guess it’s not a bad idea to disconnect the negative cable from the battery before doing this type of work I must admit I’ve worked on many BMW and usually don’t disconnect the negative but sometimes when i know I’m going to work on the starter or alternator then i do disconnect it once I burned one fuse in a Similar part on a X3 F25 I was charging the battery under the hood on the passenger side close to the strut tower brace I removed a plastic cap I don’t know why I did this but the positive clamp shorted on the brace and burned a fuse and had to buy a new Fuse assembly.

What are the symptoms you would look for to indicate the module has been damaged?

What could connecting the battery terminals backwards do to the battery and the fuses? My brothers manage to do this while jump starting their car with mine, I have the trifecta lights I have 2 codes that pop up pointing towards hydraulic unit adjustment dsc unit

I replaced this distribution box on my 2007 328i due to the water pump not working after having a thermostat replaced. The water pump now works but now getting P0597 code after changing thermostat twice.

Can an overheating condition/non running electrical pump present itself on an N52 if a fuse in this power distribution box has blown? the other two fuses near the DCM/ECU whitebox under the hood at the passenger side look good. new water pump and thermostat, wiring looks good up there too, near the appliances

There’s other fuses in there. They’re all 30 amp. Grind the tab off the bottom connector and plug into grey!

Hey my bmw e90 2006 manual is having problems but I cannot diagnose the issue. I hit a bump in the road at 70kmh and my speedometer turned off and kept it at 70kmh every control button switch etc on the steering wheel stopped working (indicators wipers etc) the ac doesn’t have power everything doesn’t work electrically besides hazard lights and windows opening and closing, the doors won’t even lock. The car starts (without power starting so it takes a few cranks) drives but obvious power loss. I tested out all the fuses none that I know of are blown but there’s a whole row + 2 others that won’t even get power even while the car is on.

Hi and thanks for the video. Would a blown fuse here effect battery charging? I have just replaced my X3 F25 battery as it was reading 73% charge on my Bimmerlink app and also voltage was only 12.3 volts. When the motor is running voltage across the battery is 14.9volts so I assumed the alternator was OK. I replaced the battery with a larger/higher amp hour battery and successfully recoded for 105ah. Fully charged at 12.7volts. Went for a drive and then checked the of battery again and it now reads 69% charge? The car runs and starts fine but I am concerned. I have now also put the old battery onto a charger and it came back up to 12.6volts????

Hello, sir. My battery on a BMW X4 diesel died and was dead for a week, and when I wanted to unlock the car to get a new battery, it refused to open with the key, so I had to unlock it
