There is nothing more expensive than a cheap BMW! I have found this out the hard way, multiple times. But it helps us learn as you pointed out. Would love to see the 1 series.

N46 and N43 are the worst BMW engines. I don’t recommend anyone buying bmw that has those engines

Good project, you insisted and finally got it running properly! Don't worry about the loss too much. If I think back of decisions I made in life and how much I could've saved if I didn't do this-or-that, it's pretty pointless. You can only go forward. Blowby is possible with bad pistons worn grooves.1mm is nothing only if pistons can hit valves.

Agreed. Fuck fuck FUCK that engine 😭 Mine ended up in flames, but I enjoyed the injector, NOx, oil pressure and timing chains issues. Oh and the insane bearing noise at cold start, can't forget that lol

@@BigHumz155 holy, mine was starting to have rod knock after timing chain replacement, apparently it was too late because the guides were pretty much non existent, but very existent in the oil pickup tubes.. sold it pretty much immediately

I'd also love to see some content with an E39! preferable a 6cyl petrol, I know you're mostly diesel but yeah. I think they're a bit easier to work on than the most modern ones, I have a pre facelift one and I can manage some bits myself and I'm pretty amateur, cheers

This switch causes a lot of problems that’s why you should check the pressure regularly, NOX is also an other problem with those engines, the problem with the oil pressure regulator is it will clogge up because of dirt so change the oil regularly and use oil cleaner when you get the car
