Depending on when your car was made, you can code out the stretched screen. Based on my model and year, I cannot.

Too bad you can't code it. A few months ago I've replaced my OEM 8.8 with a 10.25 AvinUSA with Android ambebed. You should take a look. The downside is that the Avin screen has a silver rim that doesn't look too nice

Thic F30 should of got the new one Bryan just released with bimmertech. It’s $3,500 but I think it might be worth it. May pull the trigger

@@Arnamoo mine was already the pro with the bigger screen, so I did not have to code it. Nevertheless I have replaced by the 10.25AvinUSA Android unit

i bought 2013 f10 and i couldn’t believe it didn’t come with a back up camera. it has everything else except the back up camera and PDC. I’m going to pick up the back up camera after watching this

Another great tutorial! I know Kies is your go-to, but did you look into the new Avin system? What made you choose Bimmertech over the Avin? On the surface the Avin system looks to have more options and features straight out of the box. I've been kinda leaning Avin for the touchscreen and full Android experience. (Android guy here no iOS)Thoughts?

I would imagine the Avin Screens are better as they run the android operating system so can be modified and customized as you like it. I believe the new version with Android 9.0 is being released next month, which would be a much needed upgrade from the 8.0 that the Avin Screens currently run.

I would prefer Android 8.1 10.25" upgrade which also supporting reverse camera. You get fake ID6 interface plus running native android apps in the head unit. Anyway, nice install.

Wanna do the same with my F30, but I am a little confused whether it would work with my headunit. I`ve got the simplest HU_Entry with no bluetooth/gps, only AUX)) Do you know if this device is compatible with that headunit or I need to upgrade my headunit to HU_EntryNav first?
