I ordered these downpipes for my G80 as well, can't beat the black Friday price! Bit of advice on the midpipes: if you're looking to change up the sound, go with a single midpipe design by Active Autowerke or Valvetronics. IMO, the x/h pipe designed midpipes are overly priced as you could just cut the resonators out and get a very similar sound. Single midpipes cut out a decent amount of rasp and change it up a bit, which is why I bought AA's midpipe. Wish I could tell you how it'll sound with the MAD downpipes, but my G80 isn't even here until February or so. Glad the dp's are on point though, I was a bit weary because MAD are relatively unknown.

Yeah I have heard issues about matching certain Downpipes with the signed design. I will have to look into it so I can ensure they will fit. I may just delete a resonator also.

@@WhatsyourForte I heard about the issues with the Valvetronics fitment issues too, which is why I waited for the AA single midpipe - I know I can trust 'em for fitment and to take care of me if anything happens. But yeah, no need to blow big chunks of cash for a dual pipe setup, cut the resonators and enjoy the volume, but it's gonna be raspy af with the catless downpipes, which is why I'm going single midpipe. Btw - any CEL after using the o2 spacer? Will you be checking for AFR issues? I'm worried about spacers messing with AFR readouts and the car running lean/rich because of inaccurate numbers being read because of the spacers.

Have you noticed a performance bump even without a tune? I assume the car spools up quicker maybe even a gain up top too? I currently have 2018 S6 with RS6 turbos and full-bolt on…I’m contemplating selling it to get a 2022 M3 Competition X-Drive.

It feels a little quicker but I will find out this weekend once I dyno. My buddy has that car and he says my car pulls harder and feels a little faster than his. The S6 sounds better tho. Hard to be a V8 sound

so the bigdaddies mini cats aren't long enough for the stock o2 sensors? Nice that you have a welder to address this, shame there isn't just a bolt on solution one can purchase. I too have catless dp and would love to have the cell light off 😞

Thanks. We got to meet up one day at one of the cars and coffee shows. So in NC we do not have to do emissions testing for 3 years. New cars get a pass for 3 years. We only need to get the basic visual inspection.

Hey bro I heard if you do dp with spacers the motors gonna blow Bevause than the ecu will think eveyrhing okay and give no reading which will cause the ecu not to try to mix the fuel and fix itself which will cause it to run lean and boom blown motor what u think?

Congrats on your M4. So the smell is not bad at all. If you leave the secondaries in you will not smell much at all unless you are sitting in one spot for a long time

@WhatsyourForte thanks, so when you say secondaries are you talking about the resonators? From what I've researched these cars have one primary and one secondary with 2 resonators in the mid pipe. Did you replace both cats or just the primary?

There are only 2 O2 sensors. You need 2 mini cats. I am not sure where you see 4 from. This is on a G80 M3

With any catless downpipes, the smell will Always be there.

Well I still have the secondary cats on so the smell is not that bad at all. Usually you would only really smell it if you have the car running in one place for a while
