Hi, I have ISTA+ setup and would like to know how I can show the short and long term fuel trims to verify my current P0171 fault code on a M135i. I have had a look and can't seem to find which section/page to display these values. Can you provide the path the correct section/page ISTA+? Thanks.
Hello from SoCal. Enjoyed your video. Did you know you are one of the very few people that have posted about running ISTA-D on a Mac laptop via parallels desktop? Lots of Mac users here in the US also own BMWs - like me. I’d be very interested to see a video just on your Mac setup and cable for ISTA D. I’m researching doing the same as you but for an E93 so I’d have to use the USB A type / K+DCan cable. Keep up the good work. Very concise. Good focus on key topics. Best. Rich
Hi 👋 and thanks for your comment. I'm just doing all I can in my free time to help others. As you said ista works on any mac via parallels or bootcamp. I just wanted to show it in the video. I use it both on mac and windows now. There are many installation videos but the version I bought on ebay was one-click install so it was very easy to install. If I'm not wrong you can also use enet cable on E series as well using ista. All the best ✌
🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷👏🏻👏🏻, Thank you so much for this video, this is so awesome, thanks a lot teapot appreciate, I already have this software the ISTA+, it is so great. Everyone should have it, I had to get a driver as I used an adapter from apple, from the enet cable to this adaptor to my usb2 on a windows computer.
Every BMW owner should have it in my opinion. You don't have to deep dive into all sorts of complicated programming or coding, you can at least read out full diognostics error codes and see how to fix them using ista+ built in guidance. Therefore, you can save tremendous amount of time and money. 👍
hello! do you know why in my Mini F56 cooper S the HU doesn't appears? the module ECU seems missing, but the car and the radio HU function properly. I Use Esys for coding. thx:)
Hello, thanks for the great video! I am gonna replace my egr valve. I saw your video about that. I am wondering if you could tell me step by step how to open the valve 20% as in your video. And reset the adjustments please. I have been searching for those things in ista + but I can't fint them. Thanks in advance! 🙏
Hello I've got the ISTA +, I wanted to change the lighting functions on my F01 2016 six series. I understand programing happens thru the ISTA D with the + version, but have yet to figure out how... Can you help?
Thanks 👍 I purchased my version online but you can find it on bimmer forums if you deep dive into it. They generally give out a link. You'll need Mega downloader as the files are very large, approx over 200 gb.
Thanks 👍 unfortunately I don't have a link for it. I bought it online for £60 with remote installation. So I suggest you try a similar path to have a latest and steady working version of ista.
Hey dude, I also bought Ista+ from eBay, but my software update/ programming options are greyed out. Any idea how I can fix it as I see yours were fine!
1 day? Mine did the update to 22-03 in 90 minutes. Same speed as E-Sys but ofc I had to edit the tal to tell ecu's the preferred method is HTTP, not UDP. UDP is slow, even without that I think it will go to HTTP anyway as default as some ECU's are using UDP and some HTTP. Even if I selected the preferred to be HTTP, some went to UDP
Hi, yeh my bad really 👎. What I meant to say wasn't that and forgot to edit that bit. My latest video also confirms that 56 action plans took about 55min, not a whole one day 😁
@@bmwsolutions7880 also for me is better with ENET, I feel is safer. ICOM is slower and you need DHCP server ... As long as you have a PSU you are safe to go with either options :D
Better with Enet? I don't think enet cable can do programming in a safer way. I never tried it with enet but if you lose connection you have the risk of bricking ECUs.
@@bmwsolutions7880 Using Sedoy's standalone ISTA you could do programming by ENET cable. I did programming by this and by E-sys using ENET cable, all successful and very fast(11 mins include 10 ecus, include HU-MGU, programming and coding, upload speed about 12MB/s), very stable, no errors.
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dnL7j54m8Gs.html Unfortunately I didn't have an installation video as my channel didn't exist by then. But there are lots of good videos on youtube.
@Aaron B Thank you for the link, I saw this video before fastly, didn't make attention to link in description. My problem is that I have the urgly 6.5 screen, I dont know yet if i buy the android screen directly, or a OEM screen 8" screen like urs with the interface
I was exactly in the same situation with ugly 6.5inch diaplay and after a few months of thinking, I decided to go second hand 8.8inch oem display and mmi box. I'm still very happy with the whole setup and it gives me everything I need. All I can suggest is that you take your time and decide what you want. There are good android screens in the market as well but i wanted an oem look. Also it's a matter of money if you don't like what you installed, you can sell the unit as a second hand and swap to something different. You have that freedom at least. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the video. So once I see a list of the action to thats need to be updated. I don't see any options to click for proceed , I can click on encode them all. But it doesn't do anything. Is there a other button to proceed the coding ? I can't seem to code or update the module individually. Is there a way to choose only the DSC or ICM etc. ?
You're very welcome 👍 If you have an icom, power supply and full ista package, you should be able to do it. Proceed button is 'Calculate Measures Plan' then 'Execute Measures Plan'. Also ista doesn't encode individual modules, well... it does but in order for everything to work without problem, it applies an update on everything else as well. Finally, it finishes the encoding process with initialisations on all the components. I just uploaded an example video yesterday, so it would be very helpful to you. All the best 🤠
@@bmwsolutions7880 Thanks for the speedy reply. It shows I have like 72 actions to update. Do you think it will take a whole day to update it ? Can you tell how to update the modules individually? Lets say just the DSC.
Depending on your icom speed (clone or original) , 72 actions would probably take about 1.5-2 hours to complete. The only way to update individual ecu is to use E-SYS. But it requires a lot of research.
Dear sir Recently , My 525d F 10 has thrown an error code 800AF5 Which has resulted into NO Adjustment in steering wheel column , No ups/down etc. It's just fixed in a position . Even memory saved can't adjust my steering where column . Could you please let me know that how can I cure this problem ? I have only a ordinary scanner Autophix 7910 specially designed for BMW
Hi, ordinary scanners wouldn't help you how to fix it really. You need ista instructions to follow. It telss you where the problem is and how to fix it step by step.
HELLO i know this video was shown like 2 years ago but i would love your help with ISTA + if i can get a e-mail from you to have a good talk if you have the time or Facebook etc Many thank Tony Lou for the Canterbury Kent UK
