What people do not realise, is that high beam of BMW laser lights turns on most of the time in unlit motorway driving, even if there were cars in front and coming opposite. Amazing beam beautifully lights up over quarter of a mile ahead of you cleverly missing only areas where there are other cars, thus avoiding blinding any of them. This happens even if there are perhaps 8-10 other cars coming and going in field of lighting. If too many cars in the field, it turns off and changes to an excellent dipped light.

For us American drivers, just wanted to tell you to not get your hopes up... This video didnt mention that current US regulations have made laser headlights ILLEGAL in all 50 states. So if you're not satisfied here in the states with simply blinding other motorists temporarily with your outrageous and unnecessary LED headlamps, youll have to move over to the UK if you feel like permanently blinding motorists with some laser beam headlights at the moment.
No any laser powered headlamps are currently classified as illegal to use in all 50 states. Any of the new vehicles such as these BMWs that come stock with laser headlights are converted to HID lamps on any models shipped to the US.
Thats why they are illegal to use here in the US. We already have issues with zero regulations on intensity levels of LED & HID display headlamps. They are becoming more and more hazardous every year as manufacturers continue to make brighter and brighter bulbs. Especially when installed in vehicles that sit higher such as trucks, SUVs and Ive even seen newer school buses with insanely powerful headlights now. When they sit higher and are directed right at eye level of oncoming traffic, it literally will blind you. Some of these LED kits are absolutely dangerous to oncoming traffic. Im sure Im not the only one who has to deal with temporary blindness on the way to work every day.
I wanted to say "oh man that's gonna cost a lots of money" but then I realized those who drive BMWs, they are not like me, well I need to check my wallet 8 times before replace something on my car. That's why I don't drive bmw
You've got to use my strategy. Find a well-maintained used BMW that's at least 7 years old so the price has depreciated to a 4th of the MSRP. That's how I found a 2011 X5 50i for 12K.
compared to merc they ain’t bright enough, dunno why but for some reason it just doesnt provide that level of brightness, tried in 840i, M550D and 540i same behavior, E63 out performed all
Everything that everyone makes is copied from someone else's idea. Otherwise there'd only be one company from which you'd be able to buy any given item.
Last independent video I saw testing with a light meter showed the laser light was no better than LED lighting. Just saying. The matrix LED set up looks better...................
