In this video I build a 4L80E transmission for the E39 LS Swap. I bought this transmission for $100 to use in this project. I performed the "dual feed" modification for the direct clutch and installed a Sonnax no walk output shaft bushing, and rollerized the output carrier.
This video is clips of an in depth, 7 part, complete overhaul video series.

Any recommendations on what brand of torque converter I should go with? I'm thinking either a Yank or Circle D 3000 or 3200 stall.

Did the no-walk bushing center the torrington bearing? I was under the impression that the ID of the bearing was smaller than the lip on the bushing. Thanks.

The bearing doesn’t go over the bushing. It rides on top of the bushing. The bearing fits onto the output carrier. The two parts came as a kit from Sonnax. If you want to watch the series, I have a step-by-step series on this 4l80e build where I go pretty in depth on this mod.

@@PetesGarageandperformance No worries. It's seems that a lot of people install the bushing backwards (from the tail area) when using this kit. Defeats the purpose, but it indexes the bearing. Thanks for responding. Keep at it.
