Currently own an E92 M3... All I could ask for in a sports car. Basically a race car that you can put groceries in the trunk. Looks great, and sounds even better...
And now they will lose their soul forever when all cars become electric. What a boring future for car enthusiasts, especially ones like myself who will never be able to drive a car.
Shaun Masters She could learn, not that difficult, but if she doesn't care to then she probably shouldn't be driving it anyway. I wouldn't share my E92 with anyone, it's just too personal and not to be the daily driver, it's too special for that IMO...if I was wealthy I suppose that would be another thing.
It would be nice if they saved weight, increased performance and designed it to be SERVICED. It takes a team of engineers to work on these cars as well as it did a team of them to build and design them. They are truly exceptional cars, but you must have the means and the know how to repair them. I have seen mechanics with many years experience put valve cover gaskets on these that immediately leak. A conundrum wrapped inside a riddle tied with a snake
I’m sure BMW engineers would like to. But the European emission standards are too strict. I wish they would remake the 5.0 V10, except fix all the reliability issues it had.
Hi I actually sold the car after a year. The car was great but the smg transmission is crap. Did not like at all the arg transmission. I have a Maserati gran turismo now. I went from the night to the day. Love the engine sound the transmission is smooth ....
albert biermann now designing hyundai performance models. because of him i purchased elantra sport and imagine i’m driving m car everyday since new m car are very expensive
This video is great and it shows what BMW USE to be. Now they're the new aged Ford. Producing a new car every few months like candy. Dropping pricing and turning into a economy car company. It makes me sick when they said "We only have car enthusiasts working here" biggest load of crap I've ever listened to. If you had nothing but enthusiasts working there. Then you'd pay more attention to the actual chatter of what M owners actually say. Like how much M has degraded over the years.
Hi, BMW is now run by a new generation of the Quandt Family! These younger family members, are more interested in selling large numbers of each particular car, than in the original DNA makeup of BMW's / ///M's Heritage. BMW was Rescued by Herbert Quandt in 1959! At BMW Liquidation Meeting! Herbert owned 10% of Daimler Benz, Daimler wanted to windup BMW, so they could gain access to BMW's Factories and labor force. But Quandt also owned stock in the Failing BMW Brand. Quandt concluded that BMW was a better fit for his families longterm financial goals, as BMW were under capitalised/valued, so he could quiet easily gain control of the Bavarian company. He realised to gain control of Daimler Benz, the figures just weren't financially sound, given Mercedes's financial strength, and share price at the time. So he purchased BMW, then injected initially $1 million, he continued to invest large sums into BMW's future, both in Technology, New Models and in Engineering until his death in June 1982. It must be added, he obtained a guarantee from BMW's Board of Management, of "no interference" to his restructuring and modernising of the companies facilities. So currently the young Quandt's (his children) now own about 48% of BMW! Their mother Johanna, followed her husbands plan for BMW's expansion and model releases with advanced electronics and cutting edge technologies.....The last models to 100% comply with Herbert's plans, were the E38, E39 and the E46 model BMW's. The E60, E65/66 and the E90's models were say 70% inline with his dictates. The only things written in Stone at BMW are the "Twin Kidney Grills" and the "Hofmeister Kink" in the rear quarter window. These things are sacred cows at BMW! Herbert Quandt was Legally Blind, and would feel his way around each new design. BMW had been considering removing the Kidney Grills, (to save money) to which Quandt said "NO" as these will identify a BMW from all the other cars on the roadway. There is much more to be said, but this younger generation of Quandt's, are mainly interested in dividend profits. Where once the exhaust note of any BMW was important, we now have an ///M3/4 that sound pathetic....Especially when we recall the musical symphony of the E46 ///M3 under full power, or the E39 ///M5 V8 wailing it's way down a road at 90% throttle. I find it incredulous, that a Mercedes Benz V8, either standard or AMG Enhanced, sound vastly superior to any BMW, Let alone an ///M.......How Times Have Changed. My last BMW ///M BMW was an E46 M3, and my last BMW was an E60 550i. The E60 didn't feel as sturdy as my E46, so I now own Mercedes cars. I love the BMW story, but a story cannot makeup for ordinary cars. They say the ///M2 is the New ///M3....Unfortunately I am in my late 60's, and cannot take the harsh ride of a short wheelbase car any longer. So BMW lost my business, though the Chinese Market will more than make up for a few malcontents like me. Regards.
Good points but it's a different world. At one time BMW was against turbo engines too but now most of their cars feature turbos to improve performance and fuel economy. The way I see the newest cars differing from the past is reliability. BMW wants to pursue those buyers who will buy new cars every 2-3 years. Therefore they've neglected ease of repair and reliability. And currently they've even made it such that the free maintenance and service doesn't transfer when the cars are sold under warranty but used. It all makes for more profit. As for moving to MB boats, that just really shows that your tastes have changed as you've gotten older. I've test driven more than a few MBs and I can't stand them.
Oh boy... Ever wondered how high the M engines rev? Do you know that mass multiplies by square with more revs? In order to reduce vibrations in the crankshaft they had to make the crankshaft as short as possible, which results in small bearing faces.
@@pcicraftsman8472 No. Engineering is great. You cannot make the friction partners lasting longer. It's limited by physics. Instead you would have to inform customers to change the rod bearing shells every 100.000 km. If BMW did so, no one would buy their M cars anymore. So they did not. People needed to know by theirselves.
onder kulekci your ignorant. But i’ll lets use your dumbass logic against you. I pay “X” amount for a luxury sports car from a german motorsports company. How much of “X” was used to pay for embarrassment and headache. If your answer is zero then you are correct. I pay for a car i want a car that fukin works from the factory. Not some piece of bavarian shit.
excellent enrichment about BMW M Car. I have a question there are Pure M car like M3, M5 , M6 etc also there are normal BMW with M sport variant. Does M sport variant similar to M Series though cost wise M series much higher.
not the same engine, suspension wise yes and also some interior badging and styling. Dont hold me to this though, this is what I've noticed after owning 4 BMWs.
I find it funny that Cadillacs V division is trying to compete with a pedigree like the M division. They've got a few more decades to go till they can compete with these boys!
If that is a Documentary then i will eat M ans M s for dinner every night ,It was advertising and if I am wrong lets do a :"Documentary"about how M and Ms are good for dinner, and I mean the chocolate that melts in your mouth not your hand
the m3 and m4 is just the same... exactly the same even the powr in KW or HP... only that the m3 comes in a 5 dour version and the m4 comes in a 2 dour... only for two peopl. The m4 is the sportier version of the m3. both very similiar in terms of looks... the only difference is the way they look and the history
