I haven't tested the KTM yet. I sent a mail to KTM press in January without feedback. But now I got a new contact and I sent out my request for some bikes for testing today. So cross your fingers that I get positive feedback :)

yep, without the wings it's getting very light on the front and high risk of handlebar wobble. I guess 288-290 could be possible.

@@mototop_ You’d just need to get as much body weight forward as possible. Not an easy thing to do on a naked bike at such high speeds.

@@mototop_ luckily, I’m an extra 30 kilograms without gear on. Banked bikes on track are so much harder to ride at pace considering you don’t have a fairing to tuck in whilst redlining it in top gear. I’ve been up to around 285 kph as a pillion and had to tap the rider to slow down for that reason.

Fantastic looking bike I’d love one but I think I’d loose the wings and bar end mirrors. The wings just look like a poor quality add on in comparison to all the carbon bits and the mirrors make the bike look very wide. Still an awesome bike though.

Because due to european law (and many others too) it's not allowed that speedo shows less than you actually ride. That's why manufacturers let the speedo show a little bit more.

Actually it’s to make sure you don’t exceed speed limit if you don’t want to. Cars and motorcycles, almost every vehicle on road has this design just a matter of more or less. And generally speed numbers of the radars and cameras for PD are set a bit lower than the actual speed of the vehicle for the same reason.

@@msintelcorei7 cb 500 need 57 hp for go 180 gps for go 300 km/h it need 250 hp around ok in race suit it be 2-3 km/h more probably so 240-245 hp for 300 around be required , assuming this m1000 r achieve this 286 km/h on peak power rpm and it seems like it achieve it on peak power cos stop somewhere before 14 k rpm and manufactory claim peak power at 13750 rpm than it would required very similar power to cb 500 for achieve 300 gps so also 240-250 hp 👌🏻 basic formula for calculate reuired power for achieve specified top speed if we know that for 286 km/h gps 210 hp is required than it look like this 210hp x (300/286)”3 = 245 hp 👌🏻 it can be done cos all those 200 hp power naked are very close to 300 gps at optimal gearing be setup test in very favour condition like lil stronger tail wind so you know but in strictly standarised condition where no 💩 is given than i dont think so there is naked bike which can hit 300 gps 200-210 hp seems not enough 😉but very close .,now im wathc on mvagusta site they wrote ot have 208 hp so very similar to this bmw and they write >300 km/h what mean LESS THAN 300 km/h i quees 😉 👌🏻 but like im wrote they are very close alot depend on test weather condition + small diffrenc in aerodynamics here and there can lead to achieve in good condition 300 km/h on mototop test he also have z400 test top speed gps 182 km/h this bike have true 49-50 hp at crank what mean for hit 300 gps would need 220 hp around so very close to what those naked actually have but again never seen stock naked achieve true gps 300 👌🏻

@@mociczyczki Go to the youtube channel of "slaty" and search for "DUCATI PANIGALE V4S TOPSPEED AUF DER AUTOBAHN" Speedo stops at 300kmh but you can hear the revs go higher. Run start at the 1.45min mark

@@mototop_ no its not or perhaps only for a little while and not on German Autobahn. There you want over 250 kph . My Minibusa Rf 900 R or so called enterprise pulls like a truck at 240 as if it wants to reach the 300 at the end of the tacho. I stopped accelerating at 265 tacho because it gets frightening as fuck. You can have way funnier bikes as the Z 650 except you have the A license to fly😈 for a small amount of money.

@@mickybolleck3721 Kann ich nicht bestätigen. Fahr immer noch meine zxr400 gerne. Eben genau weil die alte Lady absolut genug Leistung für 40°+ Schräglagenterrain hat. Die kleinen Möhren (mit Drehzahl) machen eben einen sehr flüssigen Fahrstil und flüssig == schnell. Muss mich auch immer zurückgewöhnen vom dicken Brummer, aber nach paar Km läuft die Kleine wieder ;) Und ja.. Jeder, mit dem ich auf Tour war, hatte weit über 100PS, warten musst keiner auf mich ;)

@@mototop_ To be honest, I do not have it. And I'm not living in europe. I'm from Indonesia (South East Asia), and it is very rare to find a motorbike with a huge displacement (600-1000cc or above) here. The most mainstream bikes are 125-150-250 cc (scooter, naked, sportbike)

I'm not sure if only an ECU flash gains enough hp for another 14km/h. I guess there's more tune necessary.

I would say it's perfect gearing. Engine has maximum power at 13.750rpm, and here at topspeed you see nearly 14k rpm.
