On the smaller M2 comp which has the same engine as the M4 has the same brakes. It's crazy how good they are and more so on a lighter car. M2comp is where it's at
@@scottc543 If all the other vehicles/drivers on the road kept to the right most lane unless to pass, there would no need for their erratic driving. I'm sure you've heard of Germany's Autobahn and how despite having many sections of no speed limits, the accident and fatality rate are lower/equivalent to North American highways.
@@GS-xp5jq Of course I'm well aware of the law: slower traffic keep right. Around here it seems most never heard of that one. The police need to ticket people who block the left lane for more often than they do, but that's hardly my point. When you're passing traffic at double their speed or more, it's just a matter of time before there's a terrible accident. Racing or fleeing the law at insane speeds on public roadways is a reckless disregard for human life, and offenders need to be charged and incarcerated accordingly.
This camera angle & Field of view really bring out the sense of speed. In 981's vid if it wasnt for the gps speed reading you wouldnt say they going that fast.
@@mustyribs5226 he had a small gap to ‘cut back’ left but he jus changed lanes going right, @110/120 trying to make that cut back left with all your mass leaning right makes the maneuver very risky, specially considering he might’ve had to whiteline. less risky than keeping his momentum going the same way and simply straightening out on the shoulder. Also risky, but easily the lesser of two evils. He weighed his options in real time and made the right decision then had the ability to execute calmly and precisely. Shit is not easy.
The crazy thing about these simulations is how they always get away and when an NPC goes like 10-15 over the speed limit a cop will pull them over and give ‘em ticket while they’ll just casually mob it at 120+
This was honestly one of the luckiest getaways iv ever seen. You guys stayed on the same stretch of highway witch they were already trapping for over 10 minutes.. Not trying to be that guy, but thats gotta be one of the dumbest things you coulda done, truly lucky as fuck. When you run, its not about how to 'physically outrun' the police, its about how to outsmart them.. You may beable to outrun the cars but you cant outrun the radios.. If this was me?? i would have been gotten off the highway as soon as i knew i was a few seconds out of eyesight, taken the closest exit to then U turn and go the opposite way and drive normal.. easy.. 90% of the time, unless your car is some ridiculous color like blazer red orange, or some unusual ass color. You defiantly wont stand out and they wouldnt know the description of your car accurately enough. Especially when you were moving at the speed of mach jesus. No offence, but what you did in this video is the type of shit that they counter by simply giving the heads up to officers miles ahead of you and gives them the clean chance to throw spikes down, especially when you are just going on the same stretch of highway for over 10 minutes, being reckless it just makes you stand out more. When you get out of eye sight, and trick their mindset and drive normal? Not only are your chances WAAAY less of actually getting caught believe it or not because now youre changing the game to a 'wheres waldo'. Not a 'cat and mouse' chase. But you also put wayway less people in danger too. If you had crashed into another car, lived but ended up killing someone in the process? You might aswell wish your life good bye, because they defiantly would lock you up for over 20 plus years easy.. Just be safe out there yo, work smart not hard.
Yeah that was preaching , you could of summed that up in one sentence. Not two paragraphs 😂. I said same shit , however , I don't know the area , maybe they just needed to cut off on the right exit due to the other ones being total shit. Lots of variables , regardless , I do agree , line of sight , combined with a quick digress , and cover to kill pursuit .
@@britexpat_l33t When you have to swerve left and right all the time at such speeds, instead of just having to flash your high beams and get your lane cleared, it instantly becomes much faster on American roads. The Autobahn can make the experience accessible even for grandpas.
It’s one thing to drive fast and effective…but when you start slicing traffic and involving other people who aren’t looking for a car closing at 150 in their rear view, you become the prick. You’re lucky you didn’t kill anyone.
This shit is wild because I live in that area of western Massachusetts and they drove from Deerfield to Springfield in 15 minutes. I've driven that part of the highway many times and it usually takes a little over 35 minutes to go from Deerfield to Springfield.
honestly boys even tho I'm a teen too and love this shit be safe guys. idk if you think on the grand scale of things it aint really cute if you crash in another car going 160 and the front of the car comes back crushing you so flat you're a pile of flesh drive safe man, once you make that mistake you'll have 1 second that feels like a year in your head where you know its over for you and wish you hadn't sped.
i think its time to build private highways for rich people (and competent drivers) to use so they can get places faster, charge them with automated tolls
An idea would be (adding onto Chris’s comment) would be A license that certified you can go a certain speed on said highways. Every year or so you would be tested. The highways would have rules such as: Left is passing ONLY Have a sports car not a 2007 Honda accord Etc etc
I travel this stretch of I-91 on a regular basis. You can sometimes see as many as 5 Troopers on the side of the road between Hatfield, MA and the CT border.
Man I watched this with a pot noodle in my hand and got sad when the video ended lmao. I won't say I support this behaviour but this guy clearly knows how to do it properly. And man that M4 looks like its not even breaking a sweat. What a car!
All these channels of car guys posting driving fast and running from cops. Why don't you go cost to cost? Cannonball run style. Prove you can actually drive, AND evade the road pirates on roads where they will actually chase.
What brake pads are you running? Couple times it sounded like you might have track pads on that setup. I run Carbotech race pads. Horrible dust and they sound like a school bus but will bring you to a stop from 170 over and over without any fade… 👍🏻 Good video!
@@DUDETHISCOMMENTISSOGODDAMNLONG that really depends on the application. If you're running Brembo style brakes there are thousands of companies that make pads to fit. Carbotech makes a ton of different formulas from street to full track in the Brembo style so I would just move down one or two compounds to something more street friendly. Other cars have more limited choices so they will need to find the best fit. The biggest issue with brakes giving up is heat management. Street pads have good initial bite, but the friction coefficient tends to drop off as they get hotter. Track pads can handle hotter temperatures but either work like ass when they're cold or make tons of noise and dust. What no one thinks about is, going twice as fast generates 4 times the kinetic energy that your brakes need to turn into heat. A 4,000lbs car going 50mph has 453,000J of kinetic energy. At 100MPH that's 1,813,000J and at 150mph it's 4,080,000J. That's what gets the casual "swimmer" in trouble. All the danger factors increase exponentially with speed, not linearly. Your brakes may stop you from 100mph to zero just fine, but when you try at 140mph they may fade out by the time you get to 90mph. With that said, I'd recommend the most aggressive pad you can stomach and taking a good look at brake ducting. If you can cram more air into the back of the rotors you'll keep the pads cooler and dissipate heat faster between stops. The good thing about swimming is the higher speeds will help with heat management as long as the airflow is ducted into the brake system. Test your setup by finding an empty road and getting up to your top speed, then come to a complete stop. Do that a couple times as quick as you can. If you've made it from 150+ to zero, back-to-back several times without fade you should have a pretty solid setup. Most street cars with factory "Brembo" style brakes can't do this by the way. Aston was famous for terrible factory brake pads (old dudes hate brake dust) and I've never seen an AMG that could do this more than once without serious fade (although the newer ones may be better, I haven't tried them yet).
@@SM-1010 💯the carbon ceramic brakes should be much better. Thanks for mentioning that! Everything I said above is for the steel rotors for sure. Oddly enough a lot of exotic owners that track their cars seem to prefer the steel brakes over carbon ceramics. McLaren owners talk about that a lot but I don’t remember why off hand. I think it’s because the steels work just fine and they are WAY cheaper to service. Ive tracked a bunch of cars but I’ve never run carbon-ceramics so I can’t speak directly on pros/cons.
Definitly more content like that. Stolen is a W passy, just bring Silversurfer, briq with y'all shit would be dope. (Excluding the chase obviously we dont want y'all locked up)
biggest compliment to the engineers of the car comes at the end..... " Oh my god, i love M brakes, M brakes man" lovely travelling with you man, felt safe. sort of : )
Rewatching this and the cut at 10:02 was fkn insane. The red car was still going pretty fast and he just cut in front. Tbh could’ve ended bad, but that’s the nastiest and most impressive cut I’ve seen from swim
This is like a suicide mission. Your extremely lucky you didn’t have a deer 🦌 run in front of your car. There’s tons of them running across that highway between Greenfield and Northampton
4:05 bridge sections are often much more skinny and have rails jutting out... you take risks i don't see other channels like this taking. be careful or one day your luck will run out.
Stolenf80 did his crankhub (which all s55 owners should do) and switched to a single turbo setup. Seems like everyone else in the group keeps it stock but u can just flash a stage 1 tune that targets like 18-20psi and requires no mods/upgrades
