E30 is the absolute BADASS M3 ever.

This Warsteiner looks stunning! I have one myself. 325i with turbo. 260hp, but it isn't as smooth as this.

Full load/high revs -> much air sucked into the engine, thus relatively much fuel is injected into the intakes (caused by the ECU clocking magnetic valves).Throttle closes rapidly -> ECU needs a bit of time to cut down the fuel, so for that short time fuel is injected but almost no air sucked into the engine -> fuel can't burn freely. The exhaust is full of exhaust gas (who would've guessed?) so the remaining fuel burns after escaping the exhaust pipe where it reaches air (oxygen).

Believe me, the ECU is fast enough to set the opening time of the EV´s to the correct value. This is a wall wetting issue: all the time when fuel is injected a bit of it clings on the wall of the inlet port, at the same time an amount of fuel evaporates from the walls. In steady state operation these two amounts are equal but if you step on the gas there is more fuel injected therefore more fuel clings on the wall so you have to give a bit more fuel for a short period of time >enrichment

It’s the best looking 90s dtm car that was ever in the competition!, if I won the lotto I would be getting the sonax Mercedes and the e30 warsteiner . I miss the old 90s dtm before the sport was fucked up by the money and the stupid rules, I think that they have also made the F1 boring with the quiet engines and the drs and the obsession with safety, the only motorsport that’s a good quality pure exciting and good quality action is the British touring car championships

plus the fact that I don't think a DTM car would have sound isolation in the hood :D

being that vtec came along probably 10 years after this car, id say if anything vtec sounds like this.

if there is no enrichment the engine will choke because there is a lack of fuel in the combustion camber for this short period. What has this to do with the flames? Adding more fuel is easy, just open the EV´s a bit longer. But there is the same effect when you let off the throttle, just otherwise: there is still a bit of fuel on the walls of the intake ports, but you can´t take it away and if it is too much > flames

can you tel me the engine specs of this car, like what is het max rpm this car is running at wich ecu did u use and maybe othere throttlebody`s ? i would like to know more about the build ! i want to build a simular car not as much hp as this one but i would like some reference!

Sounds reasonable as well. Actually I have no idea of how the ECU in this car decides the amount of fuel to inject. Obviously there's no mass flow sensor but does it even use MAP/temperature sensors or is it a fixed function of RPM and throttle position?
