The E30 M3 is a Race car built on a Road car. There is still a Road car under all those modifications. The other car is not an E92, its just a Race car made to look like an E92, but theres no E92 chasis there. Its not the new car's fault, thats how things are now ... and why old Race cars were EXTREMELY more interesting. The car you bought, had some relation to the one you saw racing on sundays.
The E30 M3 is pure original, you can see them on every road, the E92 M3 on the other hand is something that's build only for the race tracks wich you never gonna see on the road. DTM should demand that car manufacturers MUST deliver cars that you see on the roads. in other words production cars like is was in the time with the E30 M3. And i looove the sound of the E30 M3 ^^
That "E92" is little more than a silhouette racer. The GT2 and GT4 versions were actual homologated racers, the DTM car was not. On another note... give me the E30 any day.

Big difference: one could be brought at a dealership: the other one is a silhouette on a million $ race car chassis. I know, safety, cost cutting etc. but the simple thought i could have this one is just so cool. Last time BMW did something like that was the E90 320si which had a terrible engine that cracked and destroyed itself. Edit: i forgot about the 235i Racing, that already came with cage, fuel cell etc. Even the price was very moderate.
The E92 gets my vote, the sound is intoxicating for me plus the e92 is probably going to be the closest I'm ever going to get to the M3.E46 GTR until I buy one myself that is.
Well,I would expect the newer car to spank the E-30 M3,it's lighter,wider,and has more horse power with a paddle shifter transmission. But the E30 was great for its day.
The E92 clearly shat all over the E30 FACT and didnt sound like it whent past 4k rpm ... Now its no surprise that a 2014 race prepared car is gona crap on the 1992 dtm car as tech moves forward. BUT ..... What would be more interesting is a 2014 Race prepared E30 VS that same E92 id happy put my 2014 E30 L6 TURBO M20 against it when shes finished and see who would win XD
The E92 doesen't even have a steeringwheel? Is it a handlebar, or a wii controller? 😉 Anyway, both are racers of their time... Both would get a good spanking by the VW I.D. R and probably by some electric mixer from Bayern as well! 😞
nonsense... E30 it is a road car prepared for the track , the E92 is the space shuttle ... what's left of the series?... bah! Even the DTM like rallies nowadays use cars that of the normal series production ( they represent) they have nothing left, sometimes even in the main features ... , I no longer see the usefulness of this ...
