Wow after fully watching the video the M5 is really impressive, more impressive than I thought at least. Both are beast great looking highway gt cruiser sedans thank god for German/European engineering
with launch control on the M5 won by a little.... but with launch control off the ben murdered it! I like the look and sound of the CLS far better but the M5 is a bit quicker!
The CLS has some big balls. That's for sure, if it wasn't for the limiter, I would have won the rolling start race. You can see how at higher speeds it began to reel the M5 in. Nonetheless though, all of these cars are insane, and they are so close in performance figures that in everyday driving, it would probably be impossible to notice a big difference.
The cls is faster stock vs stock this m5 Is slightly modified and the cls63 still reeled him in, if they continued to race the cls would have been ahead
did both cars overtake each other in different times? I noticed that MB clearly overtook BMW in the first time, but not in the second and third..., finally in the fourth, the mercedes was so close to overtake when the bmw driver decided to stop..am i right?
Since both are bi turbo there is no replacement for displacement. If you ask me BMWs 4.4l v8 did damn good against that mighty Mercedes 5.5l v8 since the BMW is working with less it did great.Benz has hp and definitely a torque advantage.I honestly didn't think the BMW would do that well.I'm a fan of the German big 3 I own cars from all 3. Don't be such a uber bias fanboy to 1 brand remember Mercedes is not paying you.They all are respectable and have advantages/disadvantages over 1 another.
more like the s8 is quicker then the m5 to 60 and the s8 does the same quartermile as the m5 at 11.8 so yea s8 vs m5 would be nice to see and a rs6 vs m5 would be no competition.
With the new M5 PP, it should take down this AMG but then the new AMG PP with almost 600hp (587 I think) and 4matic comes out....Damn, this is going to get interesting!
Both cars are incredibly good. I respect what M cars can do, but I don't like BMWs lackluster interiors and 'artificial' engine notes. If I buy a $100,000 super sedan, I probably won't track it either. So I say the CLS 63 AMG is a better overall car.
Look at 3 run. And buyer of AMG is about 30 yo. And i can tell you about one advantage of cls - it has 5.5 biturbo engine. there a lot of tuning on this engine. For example M5 stage 2 is much slower than e63/cls63 stage 2. Cls 63 stage 3 is faster than M6 f13 stage 3. I love BMW, but Merc is really better (for me).
guys Please stop kids attitude, all the cars in this drag race are great. it is personnel preferences they are almost the same and differences are never big deal. i feel too many kids here
