Long time M enthusiast here and lucky enough to have owned several Ms, including F10 M5 and F13 M6: It is because these cars do not have blow-off valves / recirculation valves. Most turbo cars use a recirculation valve to redirect boost/charge air in the intake manifold back to the inlet side of the turbo when you let off the throttle. These cars do not have those valves, because BMW says they are not needed due to the design of the turbos and the use of Valvetronic (BMW's variable valve lift control)

It's ignition cut. It helps with faster shifts. Some people refer to it as shift farts.

You could always buy a house right outside of monaco but then you can't take advantage of tax free living etc. Unless you are a multi millionaire I don't see any reason for living there.
