i would love to own an M6 V10, they are actually pretty cheap here in germany ! you can buy one for about 20.000 - 30.000€, but the problem is that we have insane high prices for gasoline (almost $10 for 1 gallon), and the insurance costs for an M6 are also a nightmare....

Fortunately I've never gotten one but I fell for all the hype from music, movies and people when I was younger. However as I started to learn more and more about the brand the darkside came out both BMW and Mercedes Benz and now I realize what I'm discovering is the truth about "German Engineering". They are genius when it comes to performance and technology but it seems they are so distracted by their speed/fun quest that reliability is an afterthought but not always.

Did they just fitted a straight pipe or did further modifications?

This car without the Eisenmann exhaust is loud just seen one drive by my house 30min's ago and stopped and idled for a while lol you could hear that v10 from 150ft away.

Nope, it's a paddle shift, but can also be done with the shifter on the center console.
