Super easy the only tool needed is a flat headed screwdriver
I purchased my cover from ebay, you can also get them from Mini.
Here is the link to mine, it looks like a none genuine item but does the job, note this doesnt have the NFC tag built in from what I can see:

That was really scary taking off the cover, so pleased I was watching your video, knowing the sounds were normal and not me breaking off important things. One JCW brake caliper fob cover installed🤗

THANK YOU! I would have been afraid to force that back off had I not seen you do it first. Anytime you hear a click around hard plastic it is usually not a good thing.

Yes other covers lose that bit as that’s just air underneath

Thanks for sharing. I think it's shameful of mini to not give a special key for a JCW. Instead, we have to buy what should be given to be charged even more.
