Did a 6000km trip on mine last autumn. I’m going to do that again. The mirrors might not be pretty, but they work. I like that.

This is an outstanding review, I have loved mine ever since I got it I am running on Dunlop trail max mission tyres and do light duty off road and touring. This bike may encourage wearing brown retro style leather jacket 🧥 talking to and asking people how there day is, Polaroid pictures and maybe even sending post cards to family and friends.

I came back to your nice review which really mentions a lot of the boxes that the bike has checked for me. Bought a mildly used E4 2.5 years ago and am still happy as on the first day. Works like a charm after reaching 29k km. It has been comparatively expensive, but I can service it myself and that is another interesting aspect to enhance the experience. While I like cruising and taking in the landscape, it sometimes is a hooligan bike…I have a tachometer on which helps with the gear indicator, but there is nothing I miss, even on a 400 km tour…

My friend, your words seem to have come out of my mouth, I think and feel the same about my rides in the Urban Gs that I enjoyed a couple of years ago, the real pleasure of driving through the countryside, looking at the cylinders that protrude in the best style of a plane, the wind, even the rain... greetings from Colombia

Great review thanks. The joy of this bike really shines through. I’ve spent about 4.5hrs test riding this model & it definitely makes the list of must-have bikes for the future. Quirky engine, interesting heritage, subjectively cool looks, solid build-quality. Brilliant bike!

This is the best review I've watched on this bike. I'm seriously thinking about adding one of these to my garage.

A really enjoyable trip with you but , one small point , a 70 litre tank would give a range of nearly 4,000 miles and be seriously heavy to move about - possibly 17 litres ? Nit picking , I know , great video .

Great review. Loved the driving POV, especially the "if you've got balls..." Comment laugh 😂. Keep it up.

Did you go for it mate? I am on the same edge, the GS being a little “too much” and not seeing the adventure it would actually be capable of :(
@mabsbry1318

….or advertised as capable of😂. I have the GS and I think it’s just too bulky, heavy and suspension is weak…it doesn’t immerse me…ouch

Lovely review and footage.. specially the shots of the bike itself and the casual stuff. Only improvement would be having a smoother onboard footage.. 60FPS footage (even at a lower resolution) is more enjoyable and easier to watch.

Great review. I had a test ride on the same model last year and I really liked it. I agree with you about bikes that feel special like this. I just need to work out if my Kriega US-30 bag will strap on the back & I might go for it 👍

I wish these only cost 13K in Thailand. I'd love one. My SCR950 is alright, though. Basic in a good way, but a touch heavy. I'm 6'1'' and 14 st. I did 91,000 miles on an R1100GS over 14 years. Maps: all I ever use. No time for unnecessary technology. Edinburgh: watch out for Begbie. Nick J

@@paulwalker797 Thanks for your reply. I am expecting my Urban GS in march. I am also 1.85 :)
@paulwalker797
@paulwalker797 Год назад
@@Andrea_619 I think the GS might be three cm higher than the Scrambler but you will be fine at 1.85. I find that I have very little pressure on my hands when riding and the riding position is pretty upright. The scambler doesn't have the small fly screen and you do notice the wind at higher speeds Put a new seat on it and you can easily do some short touring on it. The scrambler seat is a bit brutal after a couple of hours! I hope the GS seat is better....I fear not. I will get a new seat for the coming season. have fun with your new bike...the engine is very enjoyable! ...and of course ride safe.

I have already ordered the handlebar riser and footrest lower kit, so I will experiment until I find the perfect riding position. thanks again

I do miss the fuel gauge at times but outside of that I love my Urban GS 40th. - Have a Ducati Multistrada 1260 Enduro also but if I ever have to sell one it will be gone.
