Had one it is great quality. Had an issue with a diode that was inverted and cause an error message. Daedalus where terrific and helped me quickly and efficient to resolve the issue.
Loved all your videos. Great camera work and lighting. Looking forward to getting back on my bike once we get warm weather. How do you like the daedalus fender tail tidy? I want to replace the large fender and light on my bike. Looking forward to more video. Ride safe!
Thank you for the kind words. I've been really pleased with the kit and highly recommend it. Its more expensive then some other kits on the market but these lovely machines deserve nice parts. Hey there !! I know I’m a few years late to this Video, but I’m hoping to get some insight. Recently I am lucky enough to have acquired a Bmw RnineT from 2021. This fender eliminator kit doesn’t list it as compatible but I’m thinking that’s because it was made before the 2021 was released. Do you think this fender kit would work with the 2021? I’m having trouble finding anything that lists compatibility.
Sadly it's a fail here in UK!! Lol without adding the resistance the led indicators are blinking to fast and that is a fail on the yearly MOT(yearly certificate of your motorcyle road worthiness!) so if U change Ur blinkers for led ones U have to add the little resistors in the cable to make them blink slower! Other then that cool video and a nice bike it makes me think about my first Bike wich was a BMW R1100S.
The lights were blinking slightly faster in the video because I didn't have the bike started up. Once you start up the bike, they blink at the normal rate. I didn't know this at the time or I would've started the bike to demo the lights. The kit comes with said resistors already wired in.
@@delstephens7441 sweet!! Don't get me wrong the led light bar unit is sweet and I enjoy the vidoe I was only trying to get Ur attention to this problem cause I see alot of led mods done here in UK ans sadly people get pulled over by old bill for this plus MOT tests failures
Yeah, its a great plug-n-play setup. I tried a different cheaper setup before this one and it was a complete joke. Quickly returned it, spent the extra $ to get this setup.
No resistors needed, all that is built into the unit. The lights blink at the normal rate and there is no error light on the dash. The lights were blinking slightly faster in the video because I didn't have the bike started up. Once you start up the bike, everything works as it should. I've been very happy with this setup.
GG Media Works Thanks for your reply, I ended up getting one for myself and love it. Follow up question: if I installed LED signals in the front as well, would the Daedalus’ built in resistors be enough for them, or would the fronts throw a fault without their own resistors?
@@SamElrobeh Thats great, congrats on picking one up! Its great to support the small business guys that are making killer products! As for your question, I've not messed around with my front signals yet, but you'll most definitely need some additional resistors with new LED front signals or else it will throw a fault code. I believe the Deadalus guys have some Rizoma signals on there website and there is an option to add the correct resistors needed for your bike. Check it out.
Such a well-done video! At 4:30, are the turn signals hyper-flashing? The rate seems faster than in other videos of the Daedalus kit (for example, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8i_DH9R_J5U.html)
They are flashing a bit quick in that shot but only because the bike was not started, only keyed to the on position. Once the bike is fully started they flash at the factory rate.
Their new tail tidy looks like shit. its a giant fucking spaceballs helmet glued to the back. I miss the single strip which they no longer sell-- as if we needed another goddamn bimmer logo.
