BMW R100 Cafe Racer Part 7 - Painting and powder coating the engine 

I wasn’t going to paint my engine black but after seeing this I’m 100% convinced.

That's one handsome lump of an engine! Polishing those fins is such a laborious and painstaking job but the results definitely make it worthwhile. Are you going to polish up the BMW logo too?

The paint matches the powder coating really well and looks great! I guess the engine might run a little bit cooler in black, it should radiate more heat than the original bare metal colour?

Really you should wear a mask when painting.

Any baking on the engine? That step is what’s nervously preventing me from using VHT paint
