That's the way to do it....tank must come off to get at the battery box....unfortunately, mine has 6.4 gallons of gas in it!! None the less, thank you for sending!😷👍😎

A question about the fuel: is it necessary to double the pipe to stop the fuel flow or just aprox half a liter comes out and it stops by itself? Thanks

Does gas need to be drained ? It seems when you disconnect the fuel line fuel would come out?

Mine seems to be a little bit different. For instance the two gas pipes have clips on them, theyre not just stuck together.

I had an R1150RS and all you had to do was take the side fairing off and a clamp and it would just slide out Has it put me off getting my dream GS? No
