This is a detailed step-by-step video instruction on draining and refilling the coolant on a 2016 (and adjacent years) BMW R1200GS Adventure motorcycle. The process will be similar for the R1200GS (non-adventure version) with the slight exception of some body panel/fairing removal. We show every step from removing body panels & crash bar to draining the old coolant, running a flush cycle, and finally refilling with new coolant. We show two methods for refilling with new coolant; a manual refill and burp method and a vacuum refill method. We test out two different vacuum refill kits, one from Costway and a second one called Airlift made by UVIEW. We end with the re-assembly of all body panel/fairings and crash bar showing all torque values and other insights all along the way. Watch until the end, I give a quick summary opinion on the two vacuum refill kits shown in this video.
