In this video, I show the procedure to change the battery on a 07 BMW R1200 GS K25.
It is a simple procedure that can be done with some basic tools.
I made a mistake on the video. The DISCONNECT order is Negative first and positive last.

Thanks for these GS. Videos, I’m about to receive a 2005 “barn find” with only 5k miles on it, it will need some TLC but I’m grateful for your easy to understand videos as they will make my time easier. 😊

As standard there is a plain washer and a spring washer under the head of each terminal bolt.

I have a battery light that came on a few days ago and last night it limped home, barely running. When I put the new battery in after it gets here tomorrow, do I have to do anything to reset the computer to get the battery light to extinguish? Thank you sir or anyone who answers.

If the problem is just the battery you don’t need to clear any code.

@@GFI Thank you. I charged it then started the bike. I then lifted the positive cable off the bike and it stalled right away. I'm thinking it's the alternator or the belt broke. I'll find out later when I start taking it apart.

@@GFI I hope you're not a mechanic. If you are, maybe consider taking some classes. Such a mistake is kind of unacceptable! 😄 You seem to be spreading inaccurate information, and that can be potentially dangerous.

@@Gremymy you are right. On your first comment somehow I just assumed you were talking about reinstall and I didn’t checked the video properly cause I replied from my phone. I was so sure it was on the right order. I will correct it. Thanks for the comment.
