BMW content always gets a thumbs up! Z4 coupe was always a fine looking car. Watch those rusty brake lines, there's always a spider nearby under there too....
@YootubeUK Great to hear! I love my coupe, it's my forever car! I've done the rear brake line once already, might be due again 😢 Agree, there's always a pesky spider, or several but at least they're not poisonous in the UK! 😱 If you like Beemer content, you might like this project car series if you haven't seen it already! ru-vid.com/group/PLca3f5oSU6mfvyveoTQkqPg4bQWc7dj8Z Cheers, Phil
@@ReviveMyRide Unless I get a M3 E46 then my E46 328 coupe and my E36 323 coupes are my forever cars. I love both shapes really. Thankfully no bugs are dangerous like they are in the US or Oz, you've some interesting stuff there! Only recently found your channel actually. Good luck with all your content!
Hi Dean, thanks very much! Not a lot of vids out there on the E85 and E86... My wheels are CSL replicas, sorry, don't know what brand. Just looked up CH alloys and I would say they look very similar to mine. Mine were 19's and I really liked them but the offsets weren't perfect and so I was using spacers. Also, the tyres were lower profile due to the step up in rim diameter. This in turn seemed to make the car more nervous on bumpy roads (Z4M is prone to this anyway), so the wheels are gone but I miss them for their looks! 😥 Cheers, Phil
Great Video. I have a Question. I have replaced all my shocks and struts. And mounts added reinforcement plates. Etc. But I've noticed the right rear sits low compared to the left rear. And the front is elevated but even. I don't have coilovers. So how do I even out the rear. Please help. Or anyone thank you in advance.
@longriflem14 Have you also replaced your springs? Usually ride height is governed by the springs. Of course, any spring platform or plate that has been added that changes the height of the spring platform at the bottom or the size of the gap (top to bottom, where the spring sits), may also cause this. Hope that helps! Thanks, Phil
Hey Phil Thanks for Replying. Did not change the springs. Everything else but springs. Ride is ok but aestheticly It looks weird with like 2 1/2 Gap in the Front and barely a finger Gap in the back. And the Shocks and struts are the OE Base Variant, not Sport versions. I'm wondering if there is a way lift the back springs a little. I haven't seen anything except coilovers. The Springs look to be in good shape and not broken or anything and are the originals from 99. Maybe I need new rear springs would that lift the back??
@@longriflem14 I suspect you have a broken right rear spring and that is why the car is sitting lower on that corner. When they break, it is often just the final coil and so, can be hard to spot. Front wheel arch gap has probably always been like that? I can't imagine why it will have changed following the work you have done. You are correct, coil overs give you control and so, you would be able to adjust your ride height but this can be expensive. New stock springs will restore your original ride height (if there is something wrong with your original springs). Hope this helps some, hard to advise further without seeing everything myself, stripping it down and checking etc! Cheers, Phil
@migelprager1097 Thanks for your comment, I wasn't aware of that. I will see if I can amend the vid title and description without harming the search results. 👍
