I didn't know anything about the 'R' engine because I have a 1989 K100RS-16v (this one I know perfectly, jejeje) and with all your educational videos, I'm learning a lot about this machines and I am perfecting my knowledge about the mine one. Thank you very much for sharing, you are doing a great job.

Yes, I'd have liked to have done a top-end rebuild on this bike but the costs were rapidly exceeding the value of the bike as it was. Once the customer gets some saddle time and decides if he likes / hates the bike we can move forward with additional work. Thank you very much for your comment, Chris

when you cut the end off of the by pass tube to remove the nut use a suitable size steel ball out of old ball bearing to blank off the hole [most bearing stores have them loose for a few cents] this is much better than welding the hole closed in the nut.

I bought one of those ('82R100T) cows in '91. Did the second top end overhaul last winter. @170K I wish you were there when I did the work... All of your information is spot on. But at 70k shouldn't you be looking at the valves seats on that bike? Great video thanks.
