I have the same 2012 e70 X5 and will try this over the weekend and post if it made a difference. I am getting both codes P052B and P149A.

I would say did because I didn't get the code after this however I just spun the rod bearings, so trying to see if I can save this engine. Never ends with BMW 😔

I once had a terrible cold start when my 2017 X5 35i N55 had been garage parked for 7 days under climate control and the RPM was fluctuaing erratically. I was able to pin point to a dirty K&N filter and dirty MAF sensor (that the filter had corrupt). I cleaned MAF sensor and replace the K&N for BMW OE and the erratic cold start never rehappened.

I have a question for you I cleaned mine out cuz I had a slight surge but now I have that code only one of them decided not to work right are you we were supposed to clean out the plunger that is inside

I disconnected the electrical plug at the top of the Solenoid, and unscrewed the 10 mm screw. But the Solenoid is stuck in, and won't budge. My vehicle is a 2011 535i. Probably never had the solenoid removed and cleaned. There is oil and dirt causing it to stuck there.

Very likely they have never been taken out, at this point if you manage to remove them i would just replace both sensors instead if cleaning them. Buy them on FCP EURO they arent all that expensive and will make your engine run much better.

@@gilgonzalez5902 FCP Euro sells them for around $180 a piece. so to replace them would be $360.

My mini cooper have both P052B and P13C0 fault codes. Would this cleaning help clear the engine light?

I'm not sure about the mini. Make sure you use the correct oil, and your oil level is ok. Also, do regular oil change. If you have vanos solenoids, then try cleaning them. It can't hurt, and it's free. 10mm socket, and a ratchet.

What are you using to clean them with? Carb Cleaner?

Brake cleaner. You can use carb cleaner also. I soaked it in engine oil before reinstalling. If you have vanos codes, swap the around to see if the codes follow the vanos(as per BMW TSB.
