I was lucky. The original one on our ‘06 X3 lasted over 200K, running with Prestone for at least half its life.😅Started making some noise with a slight leak. It had the better PPS-GF-40 composite impeller so I replaced it with same (Saleri).
I changed today: Water pump Expansion tank Thermostat Bled the system but no hot air coming from the heater. Also after a while a little white smoke from engine bay but temp gauge in car read normal. Please advise guys.
Try driving up and down some steep hills to dislodge any air pockets in the system and bleed it again after it cools down. You could also try bleeding the system again with the front of the car slightly raised.
@@EndlessMoneyPitsI took it for a drive and the heating started working. Car drove like a dream and temp gauge looked good. I pulled over at a petrol station and popped the hood and could see coolant leaking from the bottom of engine but couldn't see where it was leaking from 😢 got any ideas?
I did break one water pump stud. Could that cause a leak? But it looks like the leak is coming from the left of that area. I have a photo if I could send it to you?
Probably one of the hose connections. They can be difficult to fully snap into place. Check what you can see with a flashlight and be careful around hot parts.
