The 2024 BMW X2 small SUV is coming to Australia soon, with the second-generation line-up headlined by the all-new iX2 electric car. Fear not, though, because petrol-powered variants are available again, ensuring both traditional and future-focused buyers are catered for by the redesigned Audi Q3 rival.
So, what do X2 fans have to look forward to? Well, the small SUV has morphed into a coupe version of its X1 sibling for its new generation, whereas its predecessor looked more like a completely different model. However, that's no bad thing as the wagon it's based upon has thoroughly impressed thus far with its strong practicality and cutting-edge technology.
But in this expert review, CarsGuide Managing Editor Tim Nicholson travels to Portugal to get an early taste of both the internal-combustion X2 and zero-emissions iX2 to find out if its crossover competition should be concerned.
