In this video, I am installing a full color change vinyl wrap. Tools I used: Knifeless tape: amzn.to/3wQQ5AA Wrap tool kit: amzn.to/3fEppxc Heat gun: amzn.to/3yUHwqe Masking tape: amzn.to/34E8fJU Microfiber cloths: amzn.to/3uFrIEr
Awesome job. You have inspired me to do it on my X3! How long of the vinyl did you use to cover the roof? I don’t know how much further to go to make sure I have enough and not too much. Do you think it would have been better to take off the roof rack before applying the whole wrap?
Thanks man! I'm not sure how much for the roof, but I would measure your and add an extra few feet to be safe. I would definitely recommend removing the roof rack. I didn't, however that made it much harder for me.
Great video but had to watch it on mute bro. Its a video about a beautiful car and the starting music was like Kids Pop 😂 not sure if it changed as kept it muted. Great job with the car though brother
Hi bro great job…I have the exact same x3 and the same color space grey and I want to make the exact wrap tho you didn’t mention how much wrap it took you to get it done..will appreciate that so much !! Thanks!!
Hey, what's up? I live in Michigan, and own and work on my own x3. It looks as though you have the 2007 or newer facelift model. I have the 2004 model. Just changed my Vanos, working on vacuum leaks and liquid changes. I read some of your other comments. I see you've moved.
The wrap looks so nice, I know you’re in Michigan, hopefully I can find someone as good as you here in Colorado. How long did it take you to learn how to wrap?
We’re you afraid to open the panoramic sunroof ? I’ve heard they have plastic parts that break easy and often. I won’t chance opening mine, it’s a very high cost to fix. Love the wrap turn out man great job for first time
www.carpartstuning.com/running-boards-side-steps-suitable-for-bmw-x3-e83-2004-2010-rbbm04/4979896-41/ you can find cheaper on other sites if you look harder
Thanks! There is a screw that you need to access through the end of the door. I think I found a RU-vid video to figure it out. It needs a torx driver that is pretty long.
Indeed, I also want to do that on mine, but only the rear lamps... was that also with vinil? you showed only the front lights... not what you did with the rear lights.
@@Vlapstone Hey! yeah I did dark smoke from VVIVID vinyl on both the front and back. The headlights definitely aren't quite as bright, but the brake lights still work very well.
Hey man, Can you please share how you removed protective plastic screen for little light on your boot lid? It can be seen on 2:32 I tried prying it from all sides and ended up scratching everything.. Haven't tried since and I wanna change dead bulb..
Hi great job, what tires have you 19 or 20 zoll/have you any Problems with gearbox, dsc on or 4x4 ,I hear it can be make Problems with VTG - 19zoll front is 235/45/19 behind is 255/40/19 ???
Thank you! Tires are 245/45r19 in front and 275/35r19 in the rear. They are different widths, but the same diameter. I haven't had any issues with the gearbox or differential. Most important thing is to make sure you have the same diameter on front and rear.
