I wanted to add a little rumble to the exhaust of my BMW X5 35i M sport without breaking the bank. So I did the research and came up with this solution. I hope you enjoy the video!
This the perfect tone brother 💯 a lot of these guys out here want to go straight piped and the turbo sounds and pops are depreciated but you got the perfect tone
Your videos are giving me confidence in buying some of the upgrades for my BMW X5 (which definitely getting), But these will piss my neighbours off every morning. But definitely all your upgrades are NICE! keep up the good work
Been thinking about upgrading the 2013 35i to something a little more aggressive sounding but this really makes me wanna get it done. I’ve already done the exhaust valve opening mod but this just makes that BMW engine sound like a beast that it really is ! Love the vid and keep postin ! 🤙🏼
Yo that shit sounds dope! The burbling when slowing down is dope , that is exactly what I want , not to much of the noise but the deep sound, not loud. Good job bruh!
I have a modified 2013 X35i with a catted down-pipe, valve delete and a tune. The stock muffler with the valve delete sounds really good, maybe too good for my neighbors. To be honest, it sounds way louder on the passenger side and that triggers me ;) You video gave me the "ball" to try a setup like yours. Respect from Montreal, CANADA.
My man! I love it. Especially those tips. Can you share them please? Also, saw you cruising around Tremont St in the South End. I live right off there. We should do a meet up. I have a 22 X4 M40i.
I kinda like it. I usually recommend the Vibrant 10632 for these vehicles, but I wonder how it would sound with the Super 10 as a resonator and the Vibrant 10632 at the rear....
I’ve been wanting a nice exhaust on my X5 for a while now. I have the M sport 50i and there’s not many exhaust systems for it. They make all the good ones for the X5M. Your videos gave me ideas and I’m going to get the same setup. So It only costed $120 for the labor? I appreciate you taking the time to make these videos. I wouldn’t have the confidence to get a custom exhaust without these videos.
Quick question, I have a 2013 X5 xDrive50i (no M 😞) I was wondering if you really needed to have someone install the valve or could you have done it yourself but didn’t want to chance it messing up?
Sounds great and looks awesome! I want to install the same exhaust tips, is there any chance you remember the exhaust tip inlet ? thank you in advance :)
I love the sound of the FlowMaster. I have 2 FlowMaster FX and a Manaflow on my 3.7 Q50S. I used to have a Borla but I went through 3 of them in about 2 years. It sounds great but they didn't last long. The Magnaflow is pretty close but with a bit more durability behind it with my experience, so far. The car sounds so beautiful. I just picked up X5 F15 and I was wondering if a FlowMaster would work. Thanks to you I now know it will sound just as beautil as my Q. This is a nice simple setup. I hope you don't mind me copying it, with a twist.
Sports Mode is where its at. A lil to much sound for me in Comfort though. i have a 50i and i want to upgrade the muffler but i do not want it to sound like a race car.
Sounds amazing. For power though chambered mufflers are some of the worst on turboed cars. Better for performance would have been the Flowmaster Flow FX. But if you were doing it just for the sound this is great
The link has expired. But you can go on eBay and type in “quad exhaust tips”… I would go into exact specs, but it all depends on how big your exhaust is, and where the tips would be located on the bumper. For example mine is 2.5 inch inlet. And they are staggered because on my x5 they sit on the outer edge. If it was closer to the center of the bumper I would get the even
@@Bubu617M Sport is just part of the M Package. I got the M Performance exhaust plus now i got the M Performance Power Kit which increase exhaust note in Sport mode plus stronger burbles with some overrun.
Whats good. How do you feel about the setup after 2 months? Did it get louder? Would you go this route again if you had to do it all over again? Thanks in advance homie
Great video! I'm looking at doing the same exact mod. One place told me not to because it would be too loud and the cops would harass me.......I think he was just scared to do it....I'm curious as to how many labour hours this ran you at the shop? Thanks
There are some v8s that come from factory that sound similar. I don’t see the cops messing with you. It’s a BMW X5, not a civic with a fart can lol. And it took the shop around an hour to complete it.. it was pretty quick and easy. But the guy that does my exhaust work is a beast so maybe he just makes it look easy lol
It ran me $600 in labor + Muffler and Tips. He didn't just bend pipes he made it into an actual system. The noise at first is quite loud compared with stock over time it stabilizes and is at a decent level. Sounds like a beast. Best muffler for the price. It will sound like you have a v8 or an expensive system hooked up. Big cities like NYC have shops that do this on a daily but in smaller states, they will charge more. My guy also added a spark plug in the exhaust pipe for later purposes such as flames. I also have the factory bracket installed to hold the exhaust in place and all protected under the head shield. Also transferred the exhaust valve system. I recommend replacing it with a new clip as they go bad over time and will rattle. Overall the sound of the muffler is nice and quality. Cops have no issues with it and mustangs as way louder anyways.
@@osmansiddiqui96 I’m glad ur exhausted came out as you wanted! $600 is a bit steep. I spent $80 for the muffler $200 for the tips, and $120 for the work.
You still have the stock cat on it do another vid when you install the downpipe if so with a before and after and let us know if you going to tune it with burble sounds good tho g I’m about to get that flow master for mines better cost than the 10632 vibrant.
I do still have the stock cat. Not removing it either. I Have the cats removed on my 370z Nismo, and it’s good for a sports car, not so much for a luxury suv, in my opinion.

how many db you get? is this allowed and legal to drive in this loudness? where did you buy the flowmaster and those 4 black finished quad tips? you just needed the super 10 and this 4 tips or something else to install it?
I dont have a db meter, so idk what the dbs are. and yes it is legal, because it is not that loud. you can buy the flowmaster on ebay or amazon, as well as the tips. all you need is the muffler, tips, and the shop provides the pipes
Hey Buddy! I have a new question regarding you new muffler . Mine just got a hole and they told me that I need to replace it because it cant be fix . Labor and parts is almost 2200 If I will fix better do the custom like your . My question is about the valve that is located on the right side for the cold start . Did you removed it ? Does any light came on in your dash ? Please let me know. Your x5 sounds good , but I have another question has you ever drive by a police car 🚓? you Haven’t get a warning yet hope is not to loud . Should be good if you record the decibels to compare the noise,You know other states have different rules . Thanks your videos help us a lot . Good job 👏🏼
You can take the flap right off… you don’t need it. It’s not a sensor so no light comes on. And it’s not loud enough for the cops to bother me. Not in Massachusetts anyways.
I know technically any muffler can be installed into any car it's just a matter of welding but I'm searching 2008 Bmw X5 V6 on Flowmaster and not getting any results are Flowmaster not for this vehicle?
Hey man ! I like ur videos, I have the exact same car and I live in Mass as well. Can you please tell me where is that muffler shop located so I can get my exhaust done
What’s up bro. It definitely sounds louder after it broke in.. that’s the sound I want,! I like the sound, it’s clean and not obnoxious like you said. lol. What do you recommend for a 2022 x6 ? I don’t know anything about mufflers.. I
QUICK QUESTION, I HAVE EVERYTHING TO CHANGE THE MUFFLER, HOW MUCH IM LOOKING TO SPEND TO DO THE MUFFLER...SORRY FOR THE QUESTION JUST WANT TO KNOW AN IDEA...THANKS
Hoping to buy a 2018 50i this weekend. You’re sounds great. Did you have a whole new header system etc installed Or just xpipe with a muffler delete and add the Flows?
So how do you like it after a year? I also have an x5 35i and can’t decide between the super10 or 40. Is obnoxious around the neighborhood or miserable on the highway? I have a v8 Ram with a magnaflow system so I’m not afraid of noise, as long as it is good noise
I tried this got the same muffler and had a ship install it but it was way too loud and aggressive im also hatless with tune so It could've been why, I had the shop put my stock muffler back on =/ im still doing my research to see which muffler sounds good on the x6 inline 6 without breaking the bank
