Just speaking from 30+ years of experience you need to use 2 pare urethane epoxy that you get from the automotive paint store. The stuff made for panel adhesive. They make epoxy’s that you can attach a quarter panel on with it instead of welding and it’s stronger than a welded one. I remember going and seeing a demonstration. They a cars, one side had the quarter replaced and welded on the other side was replaced and epoxied on. They had the car on a frame machine with 40 ton pulling post. First they hooked to the welded side and it started to rip in places coming loose from the structure of the car. They documented it really good and you could see it was done right and it was tearing at welds. I’m side with the epoxied quarter was actually pulling the chassis off the car, it was deforming the door gaps because it was moving that whole car not just the quarter. Thanks for the video now I know this is something I can easily fix.

I did this repair to my X5 using E6000 without cleaning... LOL. Time will tell.
